Readers may
like to revisit two earlier posts [1,2] on the 13/14 November eclipse. This eclipse was conjunct Unukalhai -a pale yellow star situated on the
neck of the Serpent, sometimes called Cor Serpentis, the Serpent's Heart (a
snake's heart is located in its neck). According to Ptolemy it is of the nature
of Saturn and Mars. It is associated
with violence and danger of poison.
[Robson*, p.213.] [3] [6]
Progressing
this eclipse chart to 16 July, the date of the news, brings the
eclipse Sun conjunct the IC of the chart. Regular readers will be aware that events
connected with the potential of the eclipse are triggered when progressed angles (Ascendant, Descendant, MC
and IC) touch the eclipse.
A second
thing to note is the fact that the eclipse [22sc] forms a sesquisquare to the TNP Kronos [7cn] and since
Kronos is itself conjunct Hades [2cn] and Ceres [3cn] , the eclipse for all
practical purposes is aspecting the combination of Kronos-Hades-Ceres.
CERES: The
need for nurturing; food; the relationship between mother & child; issues
of "taking care of" people, plants and animals; growths/cysts; herbs
and grains. [4]
HADES: Debilitation or deterioration [5]
Ceres-Hades: Food that has
deteriorated or become “poisonous”
