A Ham Celebrates Its 112th Birthday

The Isle of Wight County Museum in Smithfield, Va., Is Throwing a Party for What It Calls the World's Oldest Edible Cured Ham.  Old food is usually thrown away. But sometimes, as in the case of Smithfield's "oldest ham," it is celebrated and can even become a tourist attraction. The Willis Museum in Basingstoke, England, for instance, displays a wedding cake from the 1890s.

There are a number of ways for food to stick around. Curing a ham with salt reduces water content and can help prevent it from spoiling. Ms. Neikirk said the "oldest ham" was cured and smoked in 1902 and has been smoked several times since. WSJ; July 11 http://on.wsj.com/1oATGrM

Shown here is the chart for the Cancer Ingress of the Sun at  Smithfield, Va. Notice that it has a prominent Grand Cross straddling the horizon making it particularly significant for the place. Ceres [19li] opposite Diana [28ar] is aligned with the vertical arm of the Cross. Diana is the asteroid linked to animals while Ceres is associated with food so that the combination refers to meat. Meanwhile on the Ascendant is the TNP Hades for which one keyword is ‘old’  or ‘historical’ so that here we a complete reference to  old meat!

And as if to confirm our analysis, the progressed meridian aligns with Ceres-Diana on the date of the news.
