EU competition policy under attack at Full Moon

French parliamentarians have renewed their attack against the European Commission's competition policy, asking EU antitrust officials to take an internship “in companies that have been devastated by their decisions". EurActiv France reports. "Numerous aspects need to be improved in EU competition policy," said French MP Isabelle Bruneau, the author of the report.

France often criticises the EU's competition policies, which it blames for preventing the emergence of big European players.

Recently, France accused the EU of failing to deal with global competition that affects European industry, while economic powerhouses like China and the US resort to state aid to increase the competitiveness of their companies. July 10 http://bit.ly/1kcPJZc

The Full moon of July 12 falls on the meridian axis at Paris and Brussels. With the Full Moon activating the Uranus-Pluto square it is extremely significant for both places.

Uranus-Pluto
Unexpected reactions (Uranus) based on resentment or  out of fear of becoming powerless (Pluto) or giving others an edge over them and are an attempt to regain control (Pluto).

Kronos-Hades
To see incidents where laws or authoritative action “just make things worse”

Since  Uranus-Pluto form a T-square to Sun in Cancer (family) we have an incident where these sudden outburst are taking place within a “family” group like the EU. And perhaps EU laws which have not been thought through are simply making things worse.

Finally we look at the Sabian symbol for the Full Moon [20cp03].

Phase 291: A Relay Race

Keynote: The value of competition in developing group consciousness

Here we are not dealing with competition between individuals  but with competition between groups of individuals who take turns successively in order to maximize group effort and the possibility of outstanding results. This symbol, therefore, stresses the aspect of “group performance”. It emphasizes the value of group co-operation and of necessary give-and-take.

The message is quite clear. In order to deal with global competition, EU member countries must learn from the concept of a “relay race”.
