Aquila Imperialis
On
July 21, 1821, John Quincy Adams, who would go on to become the sixth president
of the United States, warned that if America were ever to abandon its founding
principle of non-interventionism in foreign affairs, she might well become the
dictatress of the world. Adams issued his warning in a speech he delivered to
Congress, a speech that has gone down in history with the title “In Search of
Monsters to Destroy.”
No one
can seriously deny that Adams has been proven correct — that America — or, more
correctly, the U.S. government — has become the dictatress of the world —
issuing orders and commands to people and regimes all over the world and
backing them up with coups, assassinations, sanctions, embargoes, invasions,
and occupations, and all headed today by a democratically elected president who
has all the traditional traits of an old-fashioned dictator or despot. http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/47947.htm
Historical events when viewed through the lens of astrology
have an interesting way of illuminating national charts in a way nothing else
can. When John Quincy Adams gave his
speech on July 21, 1821, the US Sibly [1] had for its major direction progressed solar arc Ascendant
conjunct radix Pluto [27cp32]. In addition on that very day, transit Sun [28cn]
was opposite radix Pluto, acting as a
trigger for the major direction.
With Pluto now returning to its radix position in the Sibly,
Adams words begin to appear prophetic. US Sibly radix Pluto is conjunct the
star Altair, alpha Aquila about which Nick Fiorenza writes:
Altair is of assertive authoritarian militaristic
leadership. In classical astrology, Altair is of military force and power.
Siderealist Andrés Takra adds: "Altair has been associated with kings,
emperors, conquerors and tyrants”.
Moreover, with Pluto’s declination [-23°43’], it is “out-of-bounds”.
When a celestial body goes beyond this maximum declination of 23°27’, either
north or south, it is considered out-of-bounds. In that position, the planet is
outside the boundary limits of the ecliptic plane − that is, beyond the plane
of the Earth’s orbit around the Sun. As you might guess, people with an
out-of-bounds planet tend to know no boundaries and accept no limits. Often
there’s no stopping them. When an n out-of-bounds planet is negatively
expressed, it leads to abnormal or unstable behavior which is outside the
accepted standards of society. Its energy can indicate a tendency toward mental
imbalance or at the very least create a lot of pressure and stress in an
individual’s life.
With Pluto, the planet we associate with control-freaks and
dictators, conjunct Altair of the tyrannical Eagle we have a double whammy. And
with Pluto out-of-bounds, the danger of these of qualities being expressed in
an abnormal and exaggerated way is very high.
