British air carrier Monarch Airlines filed
for bankruptcy earlier today after nearly five years of tumult. With the
filing, all operations at the airline have immediately ceased, putting about
2,000 employees out of a job and, according to multiple news reports, leaving
more than 100,000 passengers stranded at airports. Oct.2 https://goo.gl/qxCVRy
Regular readers of this blogsite will by now be fully familiar with the methods used
here. Significant world events can be
understood through use of a variety of mundane astrology tools. Prominent among
these are eclipses, planetary cardinal ingresses and lunations etc. Of these
the cardinal ingresses of the Sun are routinely used by astrologers. We are now in the Libra
quarter which began with the Sun’s entry into Libra on September 22. A chart
for the ingress at London is shown here. It features a Jupiter-Uranus
opposition that straddles the meridian axis. In addition it is part of a more
complex configuration containing Neptune-Venus-Mars. For
Jupiter-Neptune-Uranus, Ebertin gives us:
Jupiter-Neptune-Uranus:
A poor speculation; losses; the stage of coming down to earth with a bump,
sudden recognition of a difficult situation.
With Venus and Jupiter both ruling money matters, it is
not surprising that a bankruptcy has been announced. Moreover, on Oct.2, the
date of the news, the Waning Gibbous Moon at London carries the same
configuration, this time aligned with horizon, which has the same effect of
bringing it into prominence. But here we can also see that the Sun and Moon
make hard aspects to the TNPs Hades and Kronos. The TNP Kronos is linked to
aircrafts and by association to airlines while the TNP Hades is a decline so
that the bankruptcy of an airline is among the events attributable to the
Gibbous Moon.
