Central message of the 2 nd June 2011   Solar Eclipse : An avid pursuit of power and knowledge especially about the psyche and things hidden can lead to strength and wisdom replenished by a celestial downpour of spiritual consciousness and love but as a byproduct it can raise negative emotions and desires (in self or others) that fuel conflicts and disruptive processes. The urge to expand must then overcome frustrations, inhibitions and loss or separations. A resulting change in socializing pattern is likely…Taking on fated commitments or breaking up…perhaps both. The end result is   a liberation from the ghosts of the past.

Today 23 rd May 2011, Venus and Mars are conjunct in geocentric longitude at 8Ta. However, they begin a new (heliocentric) synodic cycle on 9 th June 2011 at 2Ta53 which will last for about a year. This pair normally affects relationships and money matters. Those of us who have planets at 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 of Tauras, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius are primarily affected. The theme of this synodic cycle is  as follows: There is a need to accept all emotions…even those that are painful. Rejection, denial or repression can never lead to mastery. And should we persist, the pain and suffering will increase. Help is at hand if only we are able to see that the one and only issue to overcome is our judgment of right and wrong, of white and black.

Kali Yuga    "age of vice" is the last of the four stages that the world goes through as part of the cycle of yugas described in the Indian scriptures. Most interpreters of Hindu scriptures believe that earth is currently in Kali Yuga. Some, such as Swami Sri Yukteswar, Sri Aurobindo and Paramhansa Yogananda   believe that it is now near the beginning of Dvapara Yuga . If we look at the table of yugas ( http://bit.ly/myUiAi )   we can see that we are currently   in the Ascending Dwapara Yuga proper from 1900-3900 AD. In 2011 we are in the Kali subyuga of the Dwapara main yuga but this is   about to end   when we enter the Dwapara subyuga of the same main yuga (2100-2500). This can be loosely related to the change that many of us are expecting in the Mayan calendar. Dvapara Yuga or Dwapara Yuga is the third out of four yugas, or ages, described in the scriptures of Hinduism. This yuga comes after Treta Yuga and is followed by Kali Yuga in the descending   part of the spiral

Joseph John Campbell was an American mythologist, writer and lecturer, best known for his work in comparative mythology and comparative religion. His work is vast, covering many aspects of the human experience. His philosophy is often summarized by his phrase: "Follow your bliss." Joseph Campbell in his book “The Hero with a Thousand Faces” describes the stages in an archetypal journey taken by Heroes of all cultures.
