India activists arrested at Mars station

India's Supreme Court has asked the Indian government to explain the arrests of five prominent activists in connection with caste violence that took place earlier this year. The high-profile arrests triggered outrage and protests across India on Wednesday. Aug. 29 https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2018/08/india-supreme-court-criticises-police-arresting-activists-180829092007173.html The incident has occurred just a day   after Mars completed its retrograde on August 27. This is a significant event in India’s solar return chart which has   Mars on the descendant and part of a powerful Grand Cross.   The direct motion of Mars begins   externalizing the new 780-day synodic cycle, which was established on the total lunar eclipse of the previous lunar cycle. The synod occurred conjunct   Altair of the Eagle – a constellation that among other things stands for dictators and tyrants. Mars is square Uranus placed amid stars of the chained woman Andromeda and the b

Full Moon and the Myanmar Floods

As many as 85 villages were flooded in Myanmar after a dam failed, unleashing waters that blocked a major highway and forced more than 63,000 people from their homes, a state-run newspaper said on Thursday. Aug. 30 https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-myanmar-dam/myanmar-dam-breach-floods-85-villages-thousands-driven-from-homes-idUKKCN1LF06Z Lunations (New or Full Moons) can affect a place dramatically when they fall on the horizon or meridian axis. The Aug. 26 Full Moon fell on the Ascendant at Yangon, Myanmar and was conjunct the star Fomalhaut . Alpha (α) Piscis Austrinus, Fomalhaut, is a reddish star in the mouth of the Southern Fish, Piscis Austrinus . The Southern Fish is a separate constellation to Pisces, lying much further to the South, though in ancient legend it is often referred to as the parent of the zodiacal pair. The area in which it lies has an heavy emphasis upon constellations with watery imagery, the goat-fish (Capricorn), the whale (Cetu

The horoscope of the Democratic Party

President Trump’s approval ratings have risen since the beginning of the year, and the Democrats’ polling advantage for the midterm elections has shrunk. It’s enough to create major anxiety for anyone who’s alarmed by the Trump presidency. But Rachel Bitecofer, a political scientist with a historical bent, has some advice: Calm down. The Democrats’ chances to retake the House remain extremely high, she writes in a new piece, and those chances haven’t fallen much in recent months. https://www.nytimes.com/2018/07/03/opinion/democratic-party-midterm-elections-polling.html The following is an extract from a previous post [1] wherein   we looked at the cosmic energies influencing the mid term elections. First let us progress the Capsolar to Nov. 6, the date of the election, by the PSSR method. Notice that the angles reach the same position as in the radix once again triggering the Haumea-Eris-Uranus opposition influencing the day with the energies described a

Goats 'drawn to happy human faces'

Scientists have found that goats are drawn to humans with happy facial expressions. The result suggests a wider range of animals can read people's moods than was previously thought. The team showed goats pairs of photos of the same person, one of them featuring an angry expression, and the other a happy demeanour. The goats in the study made a beeline for the happy faces, the researchers report in the journal Open Science. The result implies that the ability of animals to perceive human facial cues is not limited to those with a long history of working as human companions, such as dogs and horses. Instead, it seems, animals domesticated for food production, such as goats, can also decipher human facial cues. The study was carried out at the Buttercups Sanctuary for Goats in Kent, UK. Aug. 29 https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-45336330 New Moon or Full Moons that fall on the horizon or meridian axis at any place will often leave their stamp on events. T

Astrology of the US midterm election

The 2018 United States elections will mostly be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. These midterm elections will take place in the middle of Republican President Donald Trump's first term. All 435 seats in the United States House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the United States Senate will be contested. 39 state and territorial governorships and numerous other state and local elections will also be contested.   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_elections,_2018 Right at the beginning of this post let me warn readers that this is not attempt at prediction   since as I’ve mentioned several times in the past, the future cannot be known. However, mundane horoscopes do reveal the cosmic plan. It is up to us whether we wish to   go along with the plan or to oppose it. The heavens can do nothing about our choices. Astrologer Alan Leo put it very well when he said, “The heavens incline; they do not compel”. An unprecedented planetary configuratio

The death of John McCain

Senator John McCain has died at the age of 81, according to the New York Times. The Republican congressman and two-time presidential candidate passed at 4:28 p.m. at his Arizona home on Saturday. https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-08-25/john-mccain-dead-81 The horoscope of John McCain as provided by Astrodienst [1] is   reproduced here.   A cardinal rule in astrology is that planets on the angles are of extreme importance. The Sun [6vi] is on the descendant and conjunct the star Thuban. Alpha (α) Draco, Thuban, is a pale yellow star in the Dragon. Draco, the Dragon is   powerful and domineering creature . About Thuban, Nick Fiorena writes: Thuban, in the far northern heavens, was Earth’s pole star circa 2600 BC near the "tear of the Bear," a point in Earth’s ~25,920-year "evolutionary cycle of the soul" at which a turning and fractioning occurred in the hierarchical powers governing Earth. This dramatized the separation between those ch

The need for solitude

"Great thinkers and leaders throughout history--from Virginia Woolf to Marcel Proust to Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak--have lauded the importance of having a metaphorical room of one's own," Kaufman and Gregoire write. "But today's culture overemphasizes the importance of constant social interaction, due in part to social media. We tend to view time spent alone as time wasted or as an indication of an antisocial or melancholy personality." Instead, the authors say, the desire to be alone should be considered healthy. Below, read their suggestion for ensuring you're able to block off sufficient time by yourself, and more detail on what the benefits are.     https://www.inc.com/will-yakowicz/great-leaders-protect-alone-time.html Currently transit Pluto is conjunct the star SS433 and the solar eclipse of July 12 fell opposite Pluto and SS433. SS433 has been described as "the most bizarre object in the Galaxy,” and "a star t

Napoleon’s defeat linked to Mt. Tambora’s eruption

Crater  of Mount Tambora A gigantic volcanic eruption in Indonesia led to the wet and muddy conditions which contributed to Napoleon Bonaparte’s defeat at the Battle of Waterloo, a study has suggested. Two months before the battle changed the course of European history, Mount Tambora erupted on the Indonesian island of Sumbawa, killing 100,000 people and hurling huge plumes of ash up to 62 miles into the atmosphere. The electrically-charged ash “short circuited” the ionosphere, the upper atmospheric layer responsible for cloud formation, researchers from Imperial College London said.   Aug. 23 https://goo.gl/LSz58w The Battle of Waterloo was fought on Sunday, 18 June 1815, near Waterloo in present-day Belgium, then part of the United Kingdom of the Netherlands. A French army under the command of Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte was defeated by two of the armies of the Seventh Coalition: a British-led Allied army under the command of the Duke of Wellington, and a Prussian arm

Australian PM Malcolm Turnbull ousted

Scott Morrison is to be Australia's new prime minister after Malcolm Turnbull was forced out by party rivals in a bruising leadership contest. Mr Turnbull had been under pressure from poor polling and what he described as an "insurgency" by conservative MPs. Mr Morrison, the treasurer, won an internal ballot 45-40 over former Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton - who had been Mr Turnbull's most vocal threat. Mr Turnbull is the fourth Australian PM in a decade to be ousted by colleagues. Aug. 24 https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-australia-45292637 The horoscope of Australia provided in reference [1]   is reproduced here.   Note the Sun-Saturn conjunction in the radix chart is currently going through a Saturn return.     And Saturn is about to station direct on Sept. 7 already shaking up the Sun-Saturn conjunction. Let us recall that the Sun in mundane astrology rules the Prime Minister [2] so that it is no surprise that he is being displaced. Confirming th

The Power of Play

A new report by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that doctors prescribe a daily dose of playtime for kids. According to the August 2018 "The Power of Play" report, "developmentally appropriate play" with parents allows children to develop social-emotional, cognitive, language and self-regulation skills that enhance brain structure and function. Play time also reduces stress and strengthens the bonds between parents and children. Aug. 23   https://sptnkne.ws/jv5K The American Academy of Pediatrics is based in Itasca, Illinois. A chart for the Gibbous Moon of August 22, just a day before the news, is shown here. Notice that the luminaries make hard aspects to the meridian implying that this Moon phase is significant for the place. The Moon [14cp13] is conjunct Pluto [19cp07] and square Venus [15li02]. With Venus connected to “values” we can begin to understand why with Pluto   acting on Venus a paradigm change can occur. Fina

Eclipse and the Yemen school bus bombing

The bombing of a bus full of schoolchildren last week was just one of more than 50 airstrikes against civilian vehicles by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen so far this year, according to new data. The 9 August airstrike obliterated a bus carrying schoolboys on a field trip in northern Yemen, leaving 40 children and 11 adults dead. The schoolboys had been on the way to a cemetery where rebels were buried but survivors told journalists that was because it was one of the very few green spaces left in the whole of the northern Saada governorate. Parks and gardens have been destroyed in the relentless fighting. https://goo.gl/ZopRMr The powerful total lunar eclipse of July 27 fell in the 10 th house forming a T-square with Mars-Uranus and straddling   the horizon axis at Sadaa.   Eclipses can carry deep symbolic   messages that are delivered to us through external events. Here the eclipse Moon and Mars are placed among the stars of Altair the Eagle and Sagitta, the m

Eclipse reunites Korean families

A cross-border reunion between families divided by the Korean War is off to a heartwarming start, with families from both North and South Korea meeting for the first time in decades. From Monday to Wednesday, a group of 89 elderly and frail South Koreans will visit with North Korean family members in the Kumgang resort in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the official name of the North. Aug. 20 https://sptnkne.ws/juFy A chart for the July 13 solar eclipse   drawn for   Kumgang will help explain this heartwarming news. The first thing to note is that the eclipse is angular so that it is important for the place. It is conjunct the stars of the Twins often depicted hugging each other – a perfect   image of   a re-union. Moreover it is placed in the   Indian lunar mansion Punarvasu. “ The [Two who are] Good (or Prosperous or Reunited) again” or “Brothers reunited”. Eclipses are about endings and new beginnings . This eclipse is opposite Pluto -

Greece emerges from eurozone bailout programme

Greece has successfully completed a three-year eurozone emergency loan programme worth €61.9bn (£55bn; $70.8bn) to tackle its debt crisis. It was part of the biggest bailout in global financial history, totalling some €289bn, which will take the country decades to repay. Deeply unpopular cuts to public spending, a condition of the bailout, are set to continue. But for the first time in eight years, Greece can borrow at market rates. Aug. 20 https://www.bbc.com/news/business-45243088 Greece and Turkey are fairly close to each other so that an eclipse which falls on the horizon at Ankara is more or less also on the horizon at Athens. This news should serve as a good example of how the July 13 eclipse can have negative repercussions (Turkey) [1] or positive ones (Greece) . In both cases, the eclipse was opposite Pluto and aligned with the horizon axis,   implying that its energy was going to be felt strongly at these places. Pluto is related to the sign Scorp

Teen pushes friend off a bridge

The 18-year-old who pushed her teenage friend off a 60-foot bridge in Washington state, leaving her with multiple injuries, has been charged with one count of reckless endangerment. Prosecutors filed the charge Friday, with a declaration of probable cause from the arresting officer stating in part, "it is clear that Taylor Smith engaged in conduct which created a substantial risk of death and resulted in serious physical injury to Jordan Holgerson."   Smith pushed Holgerson, 16, off a bridge over the Lewis River at Moulton Falls Regional Park near Vancouver, Washington, Aug. 7. Holgerson plunged the equivalent of three stories before belly-flopping into the water below. She suffered "significant injuries" including six broken ribs, a punctured lung and air bubbles in her chest, officials said. https://abcnews.go.com/GMA/News/woman-pushed-teen-friend-off-bridge-admits-didnt/story?id=57238510 The Full Moon lunar eclipse of July 27 continues to put

Singapore PM seeks co-operation with Malaysia

SINGAPORE - Singapore and Malaysia can pursue win-win cooperation and focus on their respective domestic priorities if bilateral relations are kept stable and close, said Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. The fundamentals of the relationship between both countries have not changed, he said, even though Malaysia has a new government in place led by its Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad. "We are closely bound by ties of kinship and history, geography and economy," said Mr Lee on Sunday (Aug 19), as he addressed concerns about the state of bilateral ties with Malaysia under Tun Dr Mahathir.
