Two Detroit siblings died the same night this
week (Sunday, 27 Oct.), a sister in an
apparent suicide and her brother in a car crash as he rushed to the hospital to
see her. Ricky Tucker, 20, was killed in a car crash that morning as he rushed
to the hospital to check on his sister, Brenda Tucker, 21, who shot herself in
the neck at a bar on Detroit’s east side where she worked. Family members said
she had suffered from depression for years.
Her death was ruled a suicide, and
his death was ruled an accident, a spokeswoman for the Wayne County Medical
Examiner’s Office said Monday.
In this
post we will once again see how eclipses are not only very powerful but can hasten
tragedies that were waiting to happen. Shown
above is the lunar eclipse of 18 October at Detroit . Notice that it is significantly
placed square the meridian axis (i.e. the cusp of tenth and fourth houses). The eclipse Moon [25ar45] is conjunct the
stars of Cetus, the sea monster and Andromeda,
the chained woman. The sea has an
association with the human psyche and the monster refers to the
self-destructive tendencies that emanate from the psyche under pressure. Andromeda
is the child of King Cepheus and Queen Cassiopeia so that these stars often
refer to people who have been under extreme pressures in childhood. Such
children are challenged to overcome hatred and prejudices and self destructive
tendencies. Diana Rosenberg lists “mental instability, violent deaths including
murder and suicide” under these stars. [1]
The luminaries
in the eclipse form a T-square with Jupiter [19cn] that was conjunct the stars
of the Gemini Twins. More specifically, it is conjunct Wasat (iota Geminorium –
Twins chest joined) which highlights the fact that the siblings were devoted to
each other.
If for a moment we now concentrate on the “small
picture” i.e. the details provided by the asteroids we get a confirmation of
whatever we see in the stars – the “big picture”
The eclipse
Moon [25ar45] is conjunct the asteroids Isis [27ar26] and Orpheus [21ar44]. On the descendant along with Mercury [18sc02]
and Saturn [12sc02] is the asteroid Phaethon [14sc49]. Martha Wescott [2] gives
us the following interpretations.
ORPHEUS: Sense of mourning and loss;
grief; death
PHAETHON: Instances that involve
cars, transport, driving; other forms of recklessness
