India’s Cold Walk Past the Light: Venus Retrograde, the Fives & a Nation’s Material Reckoning

In my previous post, Grief → Conflict → Power: Weaving the Five of Cups, Wands & Swords Under Venus Retrograde , we explored how Venus stationing retrograde at 8° Scorpio on 3 October 2026, then squaring Mars (Five of Wands) around 11 October and Pluto (Five of Swords) around 20 October, creates a personal sequence of emotional loss → open friction → decisive power confrontation.     That same planetary weather now falls heavily on India’s Republic chart (26 January 1950, 10:18 IST, Delhi) and coincidentally the natal Sun of Gyanesh Kumar - the Chief Election Commissioner (27 January 1964). The nation’s Sun sits at 5°40′ Aquarius, tightly squared by its Moon at 5°44′ Taurus. Transiting Pluto, currently near 3° Aquarius, is conjunct that natal Sun. Venus retrograde in Scorpio therefore squares both Pluto and India’s solar identity, while Mars in Leo opposes the same Aquarian zone. The result is a national version of the same arc — grief and exclusion, comp...

Grief → Conflict → Power: Weaving the Five of Cups, Wands & Swords Under Venus Retrograde

Weaving the Five of Cups (Venus Rx in 1st decan Scorpio), Five of Wands (Venus square Mars ~Oct 11), and Five of Swords (Venus square Pluto ~Oct 20) points to a period of emotional reckoning around love, attachment, power, and values that moves through grief → open conflict → decisive confrontation or release. These three “Fives” share a common thread of disruption after a period of relative stability (the Fours). In the context of Venus retrograde (reviewing love, self-worth, intimacy, and shared resources) tightly aspecting Mars (drive, desire, assertion, conflict) and Pluto (depth, power, transformation, compulsion, endings/rebirths), the sequence describes deep, often uncomfortable lessons about what is truly sustainable in relationships and personal values. Combined Lesson Arc Five of Cups foundation (Venus Rx in early Scorpio) : Focusing on what has been lost, spilled, or disappointed—regret, heartbreak, abandonment feelings, emotional baggage, or mourning a relationship id...

Venus Retrograde

Venus stations retrograde on October 3, 2026 (around 8°29′ Scorpio), stations direct around November 13–14 (at ~22°51–52′ Libra), and clears its retrograde shadow zone around mid-December (reaching back to ~8°29′ Scorpio). The full period of relevance (pre-shadow through post-shadow) runs roughly late August to mid-December 2026.   “Review and introspection in love, values, money, and self-worth. Venus retrograde is classically a time to reassess rather than launch major new relationships, engagements, big purchases, or dramatic image changes. Old partners, unfinished relationship business, or past patterns often resurface for closure, renegotiation, or clearer insight. It favors self-love, deeper intimacy work, and clarifying what you truly value”. (astrologyking.com)   “Scorpio phase (roughly Oct 3–25): intensity, depth, and transformation. Expect buried emotions, trust issues, power dynamics, shared resources/finances, desire, and psycho...

When the Fox, the Cat and the Magpie Gathered Under the Full Moon

On the shores of Lake Van in eastern Turkey, local fishermen recently captured something quietly extraordinary: a red fox, a white cat and a magpie moving together with an ease that defies the usual rules of nature [1]. No chase, no fear—just a strange, peaceful companionship. When the chart for the Full Moon of 26 September 2026 is cast for the exact coordinates of the lake, the sky itself seems to comment on the scene.       The Moon at 3° Aries faces the Sun at 3° Libra. One part of us looks after individual needs and instincts; the other remains aware that we belong to a larger whole. Neptune standing close to the Moon softens hard edges and dissolves the boundaries that normally keep different species apart. The Sabian symbol for the Sun’s degree speaks of a group gathered in communion. A Grand Trine between Pluto, Uranus and the Sun is anchored to the Midheaven at 28° Capricorn—right beside the stars of Vulpecula, the Fox. Mars on the IC at 29° Cancer turns ...

The Storm Bird on the Meridian: Mars-Pluto, Corvus, and America’s Nor’easter of 2026

Imdugud -  the Great Storm Bird On 26 September 2026 a Full Moon rose with the Sun–Moon axis locked to the local meridian over Bangkok. Moon tightly conjunct Neptune poured its classic signature of dissolution and flooding across the Thai capital. Within hours the city was underwater — the worst many locals had seen since 2011. The sky had already written the script, as I wrote in When the Heavens Open the Floodgates . Less than twenty-four hours later, and half a world away, another meridian activation unfolded.     At 12:30 UT on 27 September 2026 the centre of a powerful nor’easter moved onshore near Barnegat Light, New Jersey. In the landfall chart, Mars at 29° Cancer sits almost exactly on the Midheaven, opposed by Pluto at 3° Aquarius near the IC. That meridional Mars–Pluto opposition is the classic signature of “demonic intensity” — extreme, compulsive release of force that has long been linked to destructive storms.     The Full Moon of...

When the Heavens Open the Floodgates: Thailand’s Full Moon, Fixed Stars & the Waters of 2026

On 26 September 2026 a dramatic Full Moon rose over Bangkok, its Sun–Moon axis locked tightly to the local meridian. The Moon, tightly conjunct Neptune, poured its classic signature of dissolution, confusion and — most relevantly — flooding across the Thai capital. Within hours the city was underwater.   Bangkok authorities declared a flood disaster after nearly 48 hours of relentless rain dumped almost 12 inches (around 300 mm) of water on the metropolis. Canals overflowed, roads vanished beneath murky brown water, and residents waded waist-deep through streets that had suddenly become rivers. The Governor urged people to stay home; the Prime Minister cut short an overseas trip to return. Temporary shelters filled and sandbags appeared on doorsteps. It was the worst flooding many locals had seen since the catastrophic 2011 deluges. The sky had already written the script. In the Full Moon chart cast for Bangkok, the Ascendant sits at 3° Cancer — exactly Thailand’s natal Sun...

When the Steering Snaps: Phaethon, Neptune and Germany’s Full Moon of 26 September 2026

“Astrology embodies a system of new categories that are different from the ones to which we are habituated. In this system objects and events that at first sight appear to have nothing whatever to do with each other are shown to be intimately connected.” — Dennis Elwell     On Saturday 26 September 2026 the Full Moon occurred at 3°37' Aries–Libra. Relocated to Berlin it fell tightly on the horizon axis: the Moon (and Neptune) rising in early Aries, the Sun setting in early Libra. Angular Full Moons for a capital city are always worth watching. This one carried an extra signature that proved uncannily precise.     In the 90° sort we find: Neptune at 2°58' Aries Rx Moon at 3°37' Aries Phaethon at 1°45' Libra (opposite and therefore also angular) Martha Wescott’s keyword list for Phaethon is terse and practical: “Instances that involve cars, transport, driving; other forms of recklessness – feeling out of control.” Neptune, newly established in Aries, co...

Harvest Moon in Aries: When False Faces Fall and Authentic Communion Begins

Sabian Libra 4: “Around a campfire a group of young people sit in spiritual communion” On September 26, 2026, the Full Moon peaks at 3°37′ Aries, opposite the Sun at the same degree of Libra. Known as the Harvest Moon, this lunation arrives just after the autumn equinox and carries the classic tension of the Aries–Libra axis: the drive for independence, courage, and self-assertion on one side, and the need for relationship, fairness, and mutual consideration on the other.     What makes this Full Moon especially potent is the Moon’s tight conjunction with Neptune, joined by Borasisi and Niobe. Neptune dissolves boundaries and heightens both intuition and the risk of illusion. Borasisi, named for the sun-god in Kurt Vonnegut’s Cat’s Cradle , speaks to the “useful lies” we adopt for comfort, survival, or social ease. Niobe adds the archetypal pattern of pride that overreaches, followed by loss and humbling. Opposite this cluster sits Kagara, carrying trickster energy — decep...

From Triumph to Tragedy: The Maratha Empire’s Celestial Arc – Part 2

In the first part of this study ( The Celestial Blueprint of a Warrior King ) we examined Shivaji’s natal chart and the 6 June 1674 Coronation chart that marked the formal birth of the Maratha Empire. We saw how the same Virgo symbolism that pointed to the founder’s final illness reappeared, progressed, at later crises. Here we continue the story through the empire’s rise, its greatest disaster, a remarkable recovery, and its final dissolution. Early Triumph – The Battle of Palkhed (28 February 1728) Baji Rao I’s classic victory over the Nizam remains one of the finest examples of Maratha mobile warfare. In the Coronation chart the progressed solar-arc Saturn had just perfected a conjunction with the Sun at 15° Gemini (exact 6 April 1727). Saturn bringing disciplined results to the martial Sun is a fitting signature for a hard-won success. That Sun stood between Bellatrix (the Conqueror) and Capella. As noted in an earlier study of Genghis Khan, this stellar combination emp...

Emerging from the Chrysalis: Astrological Signatures of Breakthrough in the 2026 Xi-Trump Summit and China’s Solar Return

In the days surrounding Chinese President Xi Jinping’s arrival in Washington on 23 September 2026, a remarkable cluster of astrological configurations has drawn attention. The charts for the arrival itself, the Full Moon of 26 September, Donald Trump’s recent solar return, the still-active solar eclipse of 17 February 2026, and China’s own upcoming solar return on 1 October all carry a repeating signature that feels unusually coherent and, in symbolic terms, distinctly promising. At the heart of the pattern is the conjunction of Uranus and Admetus in Gemini, repeatedly angular. In the Uranian system, Admetus speaks of long-standing blockages, frozen situations, or structures that have resisted change for a considerable time. Uranus brings the sudden breakthrough, the unexpected rupture that frees what has been stuck. Gemini rules communication, negotiation, information exchange, and bilateral dialogue — precisely the arena of a high-level state visit. Both the Xi arrival chart (23 ...

End Of The Sykes-Picot Agreement

The Sykes-Picot Agreement (officially the 1916 Asia Minor Agreement) was a secret agreement reached during World War I between the British and French governments pertaining to the partition of the Ottoman Empire among the Allied Powers. Russia was also privy to the discussions.  In the video [1], Macgregor refers to the post-WWI order from the collapse of the Ottoman Empire, formalized via the Armistice of Mudhros (signed 30 October 1918 aboard HMS Agamemnon in Mudros harbor, Lemnos, Greece; effective noon local time on 31 October 1918).   The  natal chart for the Armistice of Mudros (31 Oct 1918, 12:00 EET, Moudros, Greece) shows Sun at ~7° Scorpio conjunct MC, tightly squaring Neptune in Leo.   Neptune in the Mudros chart (square Sun/MC) embodies the illusory ideals, deception, and fluid boundaries of colonial treaties like Sykes-Picot and post-1918 mandates, masking self-interest as civilizing missions or Arab self-determination.   Astrolo...

Trump’s Press Ban Timed by the Sibly Progressed Solar Return

On September 18, 2026, at 3:04 p.m. EDT, President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that he was banning CNN, MS NOW, and Politico from the White House “effective immediately.” He accused the outlets of constant “FAKE NEWS” and “FICTION and LIES,” while warning that other media organizations could follow. The next day, reporters from those outlets were turned away and had their credentials revoked. Lawsuits quickly followed. From an Uranian astrology perspective, the timing is remarkably precise. The Sibly Solar Return for July 5, 2026 (03:43:13 EDT, Philadelphia) already contained a tight cluster of Uranus, Mars, and Admetus in early Gemini. When this chart is progressed by the Progressed Solar Return (PSSR) method to the exact moment of the announcement—September 18, 2026 at 15:04 EDT—the T-square with Admetus/Uranus as apex, square the Nodes, lands directly on the angles.     That angular activation is classic for a public, structural event. Suppo...

When the Sibly Sun Meets Uranus: Astrological Signals of Strain in the US-India Partnership

“How you dispose of consciousness towards the world is crucial: For, the way that you do it, alters and determines what you will find and understand. And as we spatialise the world around us differently, perception widens and the (until then hidden) spaciousness of what lies beyond comes into view.”  Iain McGilchrist Synastry in astrology is the practice of comparing two birth charts to understand the dynamics and potential compatibility of a relationship. It involves analyzing how planets and points in one chart interact with those in another, revealing areas of harmony, challenge, and overall relationship potential. This post is an extension of major points covered in earlier analyses of the US-India relationship. Readers are urged to read those previous posts to see the full connection: On why US-India relation is breaking up Is the US falling out of love with India? Martha Wescott wisely suggests not to obsess over exact dates but to attempt to understand the proc...

The Temperate Poet and the Cup of Ecstasy: Edward FitzGerald’s Chart and the Rubáiyát

Edward FitzGerald (1809–1883) gave the English-speaking world one of its most enduring poems of pleasure, mortality, and wine — the Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám . Yet the man himself was notably abstemious, nearly teetotal, largely vegetarian, and lived a quiet, reclusive life in Suffolk. How does a chart explain a poet who celebrated the “jug of wine” while barely touching the real thing?  Using the Full Moon chart for his birth date, 31 March 1809 (15:27, near Bredfield, Suffolk), a striking pattern emerges. The Ascendant sits at approximately 9–10° Virgo. Within a workable angle orb (Martha Wescott’s guideline of up to 10°) lies asteroid Dionysus, the god of wine, ecstasy, and altered states. The rising degree also carries the fixed stars Alsuhail, Zosma, and Alioth — stars associated with responsible use of personal will, the need to reassess one’s path, and the potential toxicity that can surround the heart. The Sabian symbol for Virgo 10, “Two heads looking out beyond the s...

Metaphysical Rare Earths: Lempo, Sedna & the Rising Unconscious at the 2026 Libra Ingress

Lempo   The Sun’s entry into Libra on 23 September 2026 forms a potent Grand Trine with Uranus in early Gemini and Pluto in early Aquarius. In the recent post Rare Earths Rising: The 2026 Libra Ingress and the Global Hunt for Critical Minerals , the emphasis fell on physical treasures drawn from the Earth’s depths — rare earths, critical minerals, and even newly confirmed hydrocarbons — guided by Alicanto, the mythical Chilean bird that rewards integrity and leads the worthy to ore.   Yet the same configuration carries a second, quieter current. Alongside Alicanto, Uranus is joined by two extreme trans-Neptunian objects: Lempo [1] and Sedna [2]. Their presence, amplified by the harmonious trine to Pluto, suggests that something more than mineral wealth is being dredged up from the “bowels of the repressed human unconscious.” Lempo has long been associated with tantric metaphysics, yin-yang integration, and the communication of complex esoteric truths into everyday...

Rare Earths Rising: The 2026 Libra Ingress and the Global Hunt for Critical Minerals

Alicanto: The Golden Bird of the Atacama Desert of Chile The Sun’s entry into Libra on 23 September 2026 carries an unusually potent message about resources drawn from the depths of the Earth — and the technologies that will transform them. In the chart calculated for Kolkata (near Purulia, West Bengal), the Sun stands exactly on the Ascendant at 0° Libra, forming a tight Grand Trine with Uranus in early Gemini and Pluto in early Aquarius, while opposing Neptune in Aries. Pluto has long been associated with mineral wealth locked in the bowels of the Earth. Its harmonious link to Uranus — the planet of sudden breakthroughs, electronics and new technology — points directly to critical minerals and rare earths destined for use in semiconductors, electric vehicles, renewable energy systems and advanced electronics. The recent confirmation of substantial rare-earth and associated critical-mineral deposits in Purulia district fits this symbolism with striking precision. Neptune, opposite...

The Eclipse Siesta: Guarding the Flame When Usefulness Becomes a Drain

On 27–28 August 2026 a deep partial lunar eclipse moved across the Pisces–Virgo axis, the Full Moon in early Pisces opposing the Sun near the Virgo South Node. A chart cast for that moment at YouTube’s headquarters in San Bruno, California, brings the sky’s message into unusually clear focus.     Saturn and Neptune rose together on the Aries Ascendant. Mars, Hades and Kronos sat tightly on the Cancer IC. Cupido crowned the Capricorn Midheaven. The Descendant — the classic empty leg or reaction point opposite the IC pressure — fell at Libra 14°. Martha Wescott once described Saturn–Neptune contacts this way: “Taken advantage of through acceptance of responsibility… you must make certain that responsibilities are not violating your sensitivities or need for retreat and quiet.” That exact signature is written across the San Bruno horizon. The Sabian Story Neptune at Aries 4° Two lovers strolling through a secluded walk. Positive and negative polarities creating dynami...
