Eclipse aids breakthrough in prosthesis

A former pub landlord from West Yorkshire has become the first person in the UK to have a hand transplant. Mark Cahill, who is 51, had been unable to use his right hand after it was affected by gout. Doctors say he is making good progress after an eight-hour operation at Leeds General Infirmary. It is still very early to assess how much control of the hand will be gained - so far he can wiggle his fingers, but has no sense of touch.

In medicine, a prosthesis, prosthetic, or prosthetic limb (from Ancient Greek prĂ³sthesis, "addition, application, attachment") is an artificial device extension that replaces a missing body part. It is part of the field of biomechatronics, the science of using mechanical devices with human muscle, skeleton, and nervous systems to assist or enhance motor control lost by trauma, disease, or defect.

To understand this  technological breakthrough in medicine we begin by looking at the 28th November lunar eclipse in Gemini. In astrology, “Gemini rules hands and arms”[1]  so that one can expect that this eclipse could have something to do with this ‘miracle’. From the chart for the eclipse we notice that it forms a Yod with one leg Mars-Pluto on the MC. The second leg with Venus [8sc07] is opposite  the star  Kaffeljidhma, gamma Cetus [9ta34] on the Ascendant which has been associated with a ‘hand’!

Kaffeljidhma, Al Kaff al Jidhmah or Al-Kaff al-Jadhma' , "The cut-short hand", is the Arabs' name for the whole group marking the Whale's head, but in modern lists is exclusively applied to this star. Those in the head are; alpha (Menkar), gamma (Kaffaljidhma), delta, lambda, mu, xi ¹and xi2, were Al Kaff al Jidhmah, "the Part of a Hand". Anne Wright

A Yod is a special configuration in which the apex planet forms a lower quincunx and an upper quincunx aspect to two other planets. A lower quincunx is linked to the sixth house and, therefore, to health issues while the upper quincunx is associated with the eighth house and death/regeneration issues so that it is not difficult to see that a Yod could be connected with an artificial transplant of an organ.

When we progress this chart to the date of the successful surgery we find that Mars-Pluto is on the descendant – a sure sign that the eclipse has been triggered. Medical astrology has long recognized Mars-Pluto to be associated with artificial limbs. [2] [3]

The MARS/PLUTO midpoint often can be found in connection with the replacement of natural organs or functions by artificial substitutes, such as arms, legs, joints, dentures etc.[2]

Finally, the Sabian symbol for Venus (8sc07) is  ‘A Dentist at work’. This symbol brings out the need to display inventiveness. It shows that society may have to find ways to skilfully repair the damage caused by civilization.
