April eclipse brings changes for sex workers in Switzerland

Summertime and the livin’ is easy – especially in the Altstetten area of Zurich where, starting Aug. 26, the city’s prostitutes will have brand new, government-sponsored digs to ply their trade.

Switzerland has a unique system of direct democracy, and issues big and small are frequently decided at the ballot box. Last year, 52% of Zurich voters approved the proposal of municipal authorities to earmark $2 million of taxpayer money towards building nine drive-in structures to provide a safe and discreet environment for sex workers. And on August 26, the “sex boxes,” as these premises are called, will be put into service, welcoming dozens of prostitutes and their clients.

An eclipse creates a relaxation and re-stimulation both in Earth’s energy grid and in our neurobiological resonance providing an opportunity to release the past and engage in a fresh start. The lunar eclipse of 26^th April 2013 has the Sun conjunct the  amorous pair Venus and Mars [2] while Moon is conjunct the restraining or law giving Saturn.  In a previous post [3] we saw how the eclipse is changing laws connected with sexuality. It is bringing into the field of our consciousness issues related to sexuality that we had previously rejected.

But why Zurich ? While the message of an eclipse is valid for the whole world, those places where the themes of stars on the angles deal with issues closely connected with the eclipse are the places where the changes are most felt. At Zurich we have the following.

The Ascendant [23sc] is conjunct the star Agena, beta centauri. Centaurs were depicted in mythology as half human and half horse. Although we humans are not literally half-human, half-horse like centaurs, we are metaphorically split in two in similar ways. The split we suffer is the divide between the godlike self and the animal self. And the essential message here is that it is important to respect both the animal and the god inside us.

The MC [10vi] is part of the Indian lunar mansion “Purvaphalguni” – a mansion associated with well being and amorous pleasures [4] .

The descendant [23ta] is conjunct the star Capulus [24ta]  which Bernadette Brady associates with  primitive, male, sexual energy.

The eclipse Moon is the 12^th house – house that represents matters that are hidden, restrained, secret, incapable of action or of being fully understood. Traditionally  it is a wholly unfortunate house, associated things we have rejected in our consciousness and therefore driven into darkness away from public view. The eclipse is changing all that in Zurich. Progressing the eclipse to 26^th August when the Swiss laws come into effect brings the progressed meridian square the eclipse axis acting as a trigger for the issues connected with eclipse causing to manifest.
