Humayun's tomb is the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Humayun. The
tomb was commissioned by Humayun's first wife Bega Begum (Haji Begum) in
1569-70, and designed by Mirak Mirza Ghiyas, a Persian architect chosen by Bega
Begum. It was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent, and is located
in Nizamuddin East, Delhi, India, close to the Dina-panah citadel also known as
Purana Qila (Old Fort), that Humayun founded in 1533. It was also the first
structure to use red sandstone at such a scale. The tomb was declared a UNESCO World Heritage
Site in 1993, and since then has undergone extensive restoration work. It was officially unveiled on Wednesday, 18
Sept, after a six-year refit that has seen it restored to its original form.
To
understand the astrology behind the restoration of the tomb we start by looking
at the Cancer Ingress chart at Delhi .
On the MC
[4ge] is kappa Cephei, in the constellation of King Cepheus while on the descendant [6pi07] conjunct Neptune is the
Chinese asterism Wei consisting of
theta and epsilon Pegasi with alpha Aquari (7pi0, 2pi03, 3pi31). This asterism presided
over tombs and graves. Another name for it was Kia-Ou, “The Last House of the Master”. [1]
The rules
of mundane astrology are fairly simple. Planets that aspect the angles are of
utmost importance. If these planets are a part of a configuration, a study of
that configuration will always add meaning. Here we see that Neptune
on the descendant is in trine aspect to the TNP Kronos which is part of a
stellium comprising Sun, Hades, Jupiter. The stellium itself is opposite Cupido and
Pluto. The TNPs and planets have the
following meaning:
Hades: Old; dilapidated; historical
Cupido: Buildings
Kronos: Famous; authority
Pluto: repair or regeneration
Kronos/Hades
Historical personage
Cupido/Kronos/Hades
A famous monument in disrepair
Hades/Jupiter
Something old is fixed better than new
Cupido/Pluto
Repair or renewal of a building or
monument
Finally
progressing the chart to 18 Sept brings the meridian axis square to Cupido,
thereby activating the entire configuration.
