Death of "wingsuit flier" Victor Kovats

The body of a Hungarian daredevil "wingsuit flier" has been found a day after he plunged into a remote valley in northwestern China during a practice flight ahead of the World Championships. Rescuers discovered Victor Kovats with a smashed skull at the foot of a 100-meter (328-foot) cliff in Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park in Zhangjiajie on Wednesday, according to China's state-run Xinhua news agency. Wingsuit flying is an extremely hazardous sport where participants glide through the air wearing a specially constructed suit with fabric under the arms and legs to slow the rate of descent. Much like skydiving, the flight ends with the deployment of a parachute.

We will see here how the charts for the New Moon read in conjunction with the Crescent Moon explain the death of Victor Kovats. The New Moon [12li]  of 5 October took place amidst the stars of Virgin’s wing (Vindemiatrix, epsilon Virginis 10li07) the Crow’s wing (Gienah, gamma Corvus, 10li44) and  Mu Velorum (10li41), the sail of Argo Navis. Putting the images of sail, bird and wings immediately gives us a picture of a wingsuit flier! But why was there an accident in Zhangjiajie? The New Moon itself was stressed being opposite Uranus. The chart shows Mars on the MC in  hard aspect to Uranus in the 5th house. Mars-Uranus hard aspects are well known to be accident prone  and the 5th house is associated with sports and recreation.

The accident took place in the Waxing Crescent Moon phase (8 October). The Moon [0sg25]conjunct Kornephoros, beta Hercules [1sg15] was square the MC at Zhangjiajie. A Latin epithet for Hercules was saltator, “leaper” and was associated with dancers, acrobats and sports champions. Diana Rosenberg points out that some “lacking moderation, may go for broke risking health and reputation in their headlong passion to win”. The MC is conjunct Neptune and the Chinese asterism Khi associated with death and demise.
