Algol Full Moon and the China-Japan spat

November 25, 2013 :China has told the United States to butt out of a territorial dispute with Japan in the East China Sea after Washington warned that a military claim by Beijing to airspace in the region raises the risk of "misunderstanding and miscalculations." The creation of an "Air Defense Identification Zone" by China comes amid increasing tensions between Beijing and Tokyo over competing claims to disputed islands in the sea, which are believed to be situated near large reserves of natural resources.

Here is the Full Moon chart at the midpoint between Beijing and Tokyo. Notice that it falls on the meridian axis. The Moon [25ta26] is conjunct the star Algol [26ta22]and 13 Tauri [28ta0] of the Bull. The stubborn bull makes people want to win-at-all-costs and unyielding. With leaders there is an inability to see any humanity in their opponents. This can lead wanton aggressiveness, extreme intolerance – some use intense patriotism to justify violence against others. [1]

Algol is often portrayed as Medusa’s head. In Greek mythology Medusa was a monster, a Gorgon, generally described as having the face of a hideous human female with living venomous snakes in place of hair – a symbol of outrage and hate at having been violated.

With a Venus-Pluto conjunction aspecting the Full Moon in tropical Tauras the violence and aggressiveness can be rooted in a property dispute.
