Observations of the Solar System's biggest asteroid
suggest it is spewing plumes of water vapour into space. Ceres has long been
thought to contain substantial quantities of ice within its body, but this is
the first time such releases have been detected. The discovery was made by Europe 's infrared Herschel space telescope, and is
reported in the journal Nature on 22 January.
The journal
Nature is published from London so that we begin
our enquiry with the current annual Capricorn Ingress chart at London . Notice Jupiter [17cn] prominently
placed on the Ascendant making a sesquisquare aspect to Neptune
[2pi59] and a square to Ceres [16cn35] and Zeus[18cn42]. Since Zeus is a TNP
associated with heat and energy sources
[1] while Neptune links to water, Martha
Wescott gives the following interpretation.
Zeus-Neptune
: Appliances or objects that emit water, steam or vapour (thus steamers,
pressure cookers and vaporizers) [2]
Progressing
the ingress chart to 22 January aligns the meridian axis with Ceres-Zeus triggering
it into manifestation while transit Moon conjoins both.
Conclusion: Every event or phenomena has an
underlying symbolic meaning. The asteroid Ceres is associated with food as a
symbol for caring and nurturance while Zeus is controlled and directed creative
fire or heat. Neptune is compassion for the
weak and dependent or emotionally
fragile. Putting all this together this combination may be referring to the
need to apply controlled and directed creative fire to helping people in
trouble. This may not be easy as Neptune
plays the victim and is not comfortable with creative-destructive Zeus fire.
On a more mundane level the combination Ceres-Zeus can also refer to thermogenic foods. Thermogenic foods help increase metabolism and calorie burning by enhancing thermogenesis, a process in which the body burns calories to utilize the foods you have just eaten, converting those calories to heat.
