Sedna Full Moon permits euthanasia for terminally ill children

Sedna's father was so frightened that the storm would fill his kayak with water and that he would drown in the icy waters that he threw Sedna overboard.

Parliament in Belgium has passed a bill allowing euthanasia for terminally ill children without any age limit, by 86 votes to 44, with 12 abstentions. When, as expected, the bill is signed by the king, Belgium will become the first country in the world to remove any age limit on the practice. It may be requested by terminally ill children who are in great pain and also have parental consent.

Shown here is the chart for the Full Moon of 14 February at Brussels. Notice that the luminaries are sharply placed on the meridian with Saturn squaring both ends. Just the fact that the Moon is in Leo (children) square Saturn in Scorpio (death or destruction) tells us a lot about the issue in the news.

The Moon [26le13]  is exactly conjunct the midpoint Niobe/Siva [26le13].

Niobe/Siva
Sorrow for a parent because of  need to destroy a child

Also the table below gives the positions of asteroids [2] opposite Saturn [23sc] and square Moon.

Niobe

Aesculapia

Aesculapia/Niobe

Disease or sickness is the basis for sadness  between a parent and child.

Admetus/Aesculapia

"Feeling better" is linked to taking action about  situations (rather than continuing to put up with them.)

Sedna
The story of Sedna [1] echoes the theme of  abandonment by her father and her subsequent death.

On the Ascendant [10sc]  with stars of the Scales of Libra that are linked to legal, political milestones and advancements  and  the Serpent linked to both healing and death we have here laws that allow extermination or euthanasia as a solution to problems. The Ascendant [10sc] also forms a quincunx to Uranus [10ar] in the 5th house (children) which is linked to stars  of Cepheus that Diana Rosenberg associates with “deliberate cruelty”. The reason for this can be understood if we go back to the story of the Royal Family.

King Cepheus symbolically represents a leader whose responsibility it is to bring order to a chaotic mass here represented by the sea and the sea monster Cetus. Life and consciousness are struggling to emerge from the dangerous primal soup – the sea. Such an emergence is fraught with danger and susceptible to failure. As a King, Cepheus  represents early attempts to force an arbitrary order on this chaotic matrix.  Symbolically in the story this is shown by the  imprisonment of  the next  generation – Princess Andromeda – and  the possibility of her being devoured by the sea monster Cetus. In the animal kingdom parents are known to abandon or eat young ones that are weak and not likely to survive.
