John Paul II crucifix crushes man in Italy

A 21-year old man has died after being crushed by a crucifix erected in honour of Pope John Paul II in northern Italy. Marco Gusmini was killed instantly and one other man taken to hospital, Italian media reported. Part of the 30m-high (100ft) sculpture collapsed at a ceremony ahead of the Pope's canonisation. John Paul II and his predecessor, Pope John XXIII, are due to be declared saints on Sunday. The installation, near the town of Cevo, was designed as a large curved cross with a statue of Jesus Christ, weighing 600kg (1,320lb), fixed to the top. BBC April 24

Mundane astrology is the most ancient branch of astrology. The affairs of a nation can be judged in several ways. Among these, cardinal ingresses of  the Sun have a traditional reputation as  very important mundane events.  The angles of the ingress progressed on a daily basis can indicate events when they touch important planets or planetary configurations in the ingress chart. Shown here is the sidereal Aries ingress of the Sun at Cevo progressed to April 24, the date of the news item above. Notice the current Grand Cross on the horizon axis.

Uranus and Pluto – the two slowest planets in the Grand Cross – define the process unfolding. Institutions (Capricorn) are breaking down (Pluto). Uranus in Aries is about a revolution in consciousness that frees the beliefs and behaviors that structure our lives from slavery to these crumbling institutions.

The astrologer Dane Rudhyar called the three outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) Ambassadors of the Galaxy. They incite and invite us to go beyond the known. They awaken consciousness and alter how we see ourselves as creators through time. The square of Uranus to Pluto is sure to radically alter how we move and manifest, as spirits in a body. This is an exciting time to reinvent ourselves, and see what we're made of, what's possible.

A square is urgent, and with Uranus and Pluto, we have two of the great cosmic awakeners of soul force. The potential here is to rediscover who we are, and awaken powers that have been suppressed or dormant. Pluto's method is elimination, excavation, clearing out, and if the world seems covered in shadow, it's rising to be faced, confronted, transformed.

What's been stuffed down and denied is spilling out. Much that was in shadow, is being purged out into the open. The dumpster of denial, corruption and shadowy agendas is full. The ugly truth can no longer be contained, especially about institutions, monopolies, unholy alliances, hierarchies of power and industry. [1]

But perhaps the most interesting element in the chart is the star Acrux [12sc03] on the MC [11sc31].  Alpha (α) Crux, Acrux, is a triple star at the foot of the Cross  which by association is linked to Christ and Christianity  [2] [3]

"Crux is said to give perseverance, but many burdens, trials and responsibilities, together with much suffering and many hardships. In connection with rulerships of countries it may be noted that Brazil was named the Land of the Holy Cross by the discoverer Cabral on May 1st 1500, and that the constellation Crux has been represented on the postage stamps of that country".  [Robson, p.41.] [4]
