The rise of right-wing politics in France

Paris, France (CNN), May 26 -- The headlines scream: "Political tsunami," "earthquake" and "big bang." European elections may have taken place in 28 different countries, but the results in just one of them proved the big story of the night. Who and what are we talking about? Marine Le Pen's Front National extreme-right party came top in France's European elections, with 25.41% of the vote. This is a historic achievement for the 46-year-old daughter of Jean-Marie Le Pen, the party's founder. Listening to French radio and television through the night, there was no doubt that France's whole political class and commentators had never thought such thing possible, at least not on that scale. Le Pen's triumph reveals the collapse of national trust in the traditional Right and Left parties which have governed France for three generations since the beginning of the Fifth Republic in 1958. http://cnn.it/1kaxdiA

As readers are aware, we are currently going through a Uranus (Aries) square Pluto (Capricorn) aspect . The significations of the various elements are as follows:

Uranus has a general influence over rioting and outbreaks of political tension. Right-wing political ideas, free-market enterprise, fascism, and the urge towards individualism. the planet of sudden awakening, enlightenment, shock, lightning-like illumination and destruction of the old. [1]

Pluto is the planet of deep soul energies, of that which is buried, repressed, and hidden, “the underneath,” archetype of the unconscious and its power, and of the drive for power (often unconsciously motivated), the process of death and rebirth

Among other things, Aries is a sign of selfishness while Capricorn  rules world structures such as government, politics, and the corporate world.

The following extract from an article [2] entitled “Uranus square Pluto – Right Wing Fanatical Governments”  explains the current energies at work:

Uranus square Pluto, causes conflict and quarreling, so that those on opposite sides of the argument get so worked up that they fight hard to stop each other from enacting even the correct choices. The Uranus square Pluto is the reason why the left and right of politics in all countries are hardening their positions, constantly insulting one another and are in no mood to compromise on anything, even when commonsense and logic says they should. The darker side of human nature is trying to overthrow common decency and compromise towards others.

Uranus in Aries can lead to religious or political fanaticism (e.g. Nazi Germany), it can also trigger the urge for individual freedom.

 And yet there is some good news amongst all the doom and gloom. Uranus and Pluto are now in a waxing square (Uranus moving away from Pluto). That is the incredibly agonizing pain of birth, not death. :)

The sidereal Capricorn Ingress chart (the Annual Chart) at Paris is shown here. Notice the slightly skewed Grand Cross straddling the meridian axis. Regular readers will recognize that this implies the possibility of major changes for the government. But when? This can happen, among other things, when transits trigger the chart. On May 20, Mars [9li]  stationed direct opposite Uranus on the IC [9ar].  

As Mars separates out of this celestial formation, it signals what might be best understood as the “tension release phase” of the Grand Cross, a phase that is normally characterized by action. There are decisive acts,  intended to facilitate personal and collective liberation as many of us strive to break free from whatever enslaves.

And in the last couple of days the transit Moon triggered the Grand Cross as shown the table below!
