The Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, commonly known
as the June Fourth Incident or more accurately '89 Democracy Movement were
student-led popular demonstrations in Beijing
which took place in the spring of 1989 and received broad support from city
residents, exposing deep splits within China 's political leadership. The
protests were forcibly suppressed by hardline leaders who ordered the military
to enforce martial law in the country's capital. The crackdown that initiated
on June 3–4 became known as the Tiananmen Square Massacre or the June 4
Massacre as troops with assault rifles and tanks inflicted casualties on
unarmed civilians trying to block the military's advance towards Tiananmen
Square in the heart of Beijing, which student demonstrators had occupied for
seven weeks. The scale of military mobilization and the resulting bloodshed
were unprecedented in the history of Beijing ,
a city with a rich tradition of popular protests in the 20th century.
As in the previous post we will see here another
example of how historical dates can be
traced back to an eclipse during the year prior to the date. Shown here is the
Solar Eclipse of September 11, 1988 at Beijing .
It is very significantly placed on the MC [27vi39] of the chart and square the Saturn-Uranus conjunction at 26-27 Sagittarius.
H.S. Green writing about the meaning of
a difficult aspect between Saturn-Uranus in his book National or Mundane Astrology says:
“This brings trouble upon the
Monarch, Government and the ruling power in general in the country. National
politics are apt to become very disturbed and involved; great changes are
advocated, important reforms attempted or suggested, but they are either
successfully resisted or achieved with difficulty and after long resistance.”
Let us
examine in turn the stars conjunct the MC –Eclipse and Saturn-Uranus.
Saturn-Uranus
were conjunct mu Herculis, Sargas in
the Scorpion’s tail and Aculeus in
the sting of the Scorpion. Diana Rosenberg writes:
“The Scorpion’s sting tends to
sullen anger;… most are dedicated, never-say-die fighter, refusing to given in
or knuckle undereven against great odds”… (see the picture of the lone man in front of the
column of tanks at Tianamen)
As an
example, she mentions that these stars
were transited at the start of the Jewish revolt against Rome in 66 CE.
On the MC
[27vi39] is the star Benetnash of Ursa Major. The eclipse itself is conjunct
Mizar also of Ursa Major. About these stars Nick Fiorenza writes:
Benetnasch (Eta, Ursa Major) is the
Tail of the Great Bear. The Arabic name for Benetnasch is Alkaid, which means "the
leader." Benetnasch expresses the old dictatorial and totalitarian stream
of consciousness that was predominantly dominant when Earth's polar alignment
was tilted (had fallen) furthest from the galactic plane in Earth's great
precessional year (about 6000 years ago). In its old form and when expressing
with influence of the stars of late Leo Benetnasch articulates those who tend
to act as manipulating and controlling godheads, which perpetuates a dogmatic
societal structure that keeps individuals from becoming self-responsible and
from evolving into their own self-mastery.
Mizar articulates raw fiery energy
that must express one way or another. Mizar must have a creative outlet, but
for its proper expression, we must apply it with creative vision. Mizar, with
averted alignments is also known for catastrophic fires or massacres.
The pieces
of the Tianamen incident are all there in the eclipse chart . On June 4, 1989,
the progressed meridian axis reaches a square to the Sun triggering the event!
