Israel accepts ceasefire at Gibbous Moon

Israel has accepted a Egyptian proposal for a truce in the conflict in Gaza.Hamas, which controls Gaza, has not formally responded. But its armed wing has rejected the plan as a "surrender". The proposal urges a ceasefire starting imminently, followed by a series of meetings in Cairo with high-level delegations from both sides. Palestinian officials say at least 192 people have been killed by Israeli air strikes launched eight days ago to stop militants firing rockets into Israel. BBC; July 15

The news comes in at the Waning Gibbous Moon plotted here for Tel Aviv, Israel. Notice the placement of the Pluto-Uranus-Kronos-Hades-Zeus Grand Cross on the horizon axis.

Pluto on the Ascendant is conjunct  Nunki, Sigma (σ) Sagittarius. Nunki (12cp33)  is the  powerful left shoulder of the Archer’s bow bracing arm, his eye (Ain al Rami) takes aim with full confidence of hitting any target.  4 Aquilae (12cp33) a star in the constellation  of the Eagle associated with the military in general but more specifically with the air force combines with Nunki of the Archer to produce a perfect symbol for a military aircraft.

KRONOS/ZEUS : military action involving aircraft or missiles
HADES/ZEUS :  expect media  coverage that includes  the use of weapons, fires or explosions  on impoverished people

But in all this where do we see the possibility of peace? The TNP Kronos [8cn]  is conjunct delta Columba [8cn37] in the Dove’s wing closely conjunct Alhena, gamma Geminorum [9cn18], in Pollux’s left foot. As always under the Twins, there are lessons of brotherhood versus racism and intolerance while under the Dove there is a search for peace. Eric Morse noted here, “the ability to negotiate a peaceful settlement to disputes”.

Also aiding the process is the Moon conjunct Neptune [8pi] both of which are trine Kronos [8cn] . Neptune is conjunct stars of Aquarius (as well as healing goddess Gula, his ancient predecessor) so that here we must make a great choice: whether to remain aloof to the anguish of others (or cause it!), or to learn sensitivity and compassion.
