Even in death, a couple married for nearly 62 years
were inseparable. Don and Maxine Simpson from Bakersfield, California, died
four hours apart on adjoining beds, holding hands during some of their final
hours. Melissa Sloan said her grandmother died first and when her body was
removed from the room, her husband followed. "All Don wanted was to be
with his beautiful wife. He adored my grandmother, loved her to the end of the
earth," she told KERO-TV. BBC; Aug 6. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-28677585
Shown here
is the chart for the Cancer Ingress of the Sun at Bakersfield , California .
Notice Venus in its exaltation in Taurus
on the Ascendant in aspect to Pluto.
Progressing
the ingress to August 6, the date of the
story, we notice that the Ascendant [14cn] is at the reaction point of a
T-square comprising Mars-Uranus-Pluto with passionate Pluto in a sharp
sesquisquare with Venus, the planet of love, in enduring Taurus. One of the
most positive expressions of Venus-Pluto is a committed relationship in which
the pattern of intimacy grows in harmony with deeper changes in oneself.
The
following asteroids make hard aspects to the horizon axis: Requiem [13cn]; Amor
[8cn]; Orpheus [8cp]; Eros [10cp]; Astraea [8ar].
AMOR: the understanding of what LOVE
is/means
ASTRAEA: staying to the end
EROS:
the Will to Live (the passion for life and love)
REQUIEM: As well as a connection to the
ceremonies of death (and the formalization of grief,) Requiem stands for a
place of acceptance, a cessation of struggle.
ORPHEUS: Death
AMOR-ASTRAEA : Love is forever.
EROS-ORPHEUS: The “will to live” ends with the
someone’s death
Finally,
notice the star on the progressed Ascendant is Sirius, alpha Canis Majoris –
the Dog Star. This star is known for fidelity, faithfulness and commitment
which Don and Maxine Simpson’s lives amply demonstrated.
