Afghanistan: Re-equilibrating Relationships

A deal to form a government of national unity in Afghanistan has been signed at a ceremony in Kabul. The signing - broadcast live on national TV - comes after months of wrangling following presidential elections in April and June. Under the deal, Ashraf Ghani becomes president while runner-up Abdullah Abdullah nominates a CEO with powers similar to those of prime minister. BBC Sept 21

The horoscope of Afghanistan is taken as the date and time of the formation of the Karzai government [22nd Dec 2001;13:12 (GMT +5), Kabul]. Notice that Nodal axis is currently aligned with the chart’s horizon axis.

The following is a summary extract from Nick’s Fiorenza’s  current  Lunar Planner “Navigating New Directions”  for the August 25 New Moon wherein he discusses the challenges presented by the New Moon and the Juno-Nodal axis square. [1][2]

The current New Moon  of August 25 conjoined the stars  Megrez and Al Kaphrah of The Great Bear. This may require that we look at things in a new way or from a different perspective. The New Moon  impels us to reassess our present actions and the tactics we apply in life to change our evolutionary outcome to one that does not repeat a discordant and destructive past, but that leads to a prosperous and harmonious future.

Juno, asteroids of relationships and partnerships of all types, has been approaching its T-Square to the Lunar Nodes over the last couple of weeks bringing Juno related issues to a crisis point, demanding they be addressed.

Juno square the Lunar Nodes is the issue or what needs to be resolved. Issues to address are those regarding inequality in relationships, mutual respect, etc., and making any required changes in relationships and partnerships of all types, willingly or perhaps catalyzed by the South Node's unexpected events. Juno invites us to look at how we are participating in our relations and with our allegiances, those personal and those international, to address the patterns of the past and to move toward the North Node theme.

Overall, there is impetus to move from the South Node theme to the North Node theme, with the issue surrounding inequalities in relationships. This can result in relationships breaking apart with new ones forming, or simply as motivation to re-equilibrate our existing relationships or to establish greater clarity and balance in how we interrelate. Finally, Pluto which is now Station Direct on the MC of the Afghan chart is also in a paran aspect to the Nodal Axis at Kabul. Ebertin provides the following key phrases for:

Pluto-Node
The common destiny of a large mass of people. The beginning of new associations that may be important for the future.
