UN Climate Summit 2014

Climate change is not a far-off problem. It is happening now and is having very real consequences on people’s lives. Climate change is disrupting national economies, costing us dearly today and even more tomorrow.  But there is a growing recognition that affordable, scalable solutions are available now that will enable us all to leapfrog to cleaner, more resilient economies.

There is a sense that change is in the air. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has invited world leaders, from government, finance, business, and civil society to Climate Summit 2014 this 23 September to galvanize and catalyze climate action.  He has asked these leaders to bring bold announcements and actions to the Summit that will reduce emissions, strengthen climate resilience, and mobilize political will for a meaningful legal agreement in 2015. Climate Summit 2014 provides a unique opportunity for leaders to champion an ambitious vision, anchored in action that will enable a meaningful global agreement in 2015. http://www.un.org/climatechange/summit/

The  UN Climate Summit is taking place in New York on 23 September close to the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse of October 8. Notice that the eclipse is significantly placed on the horizon axis forming a powerful Grand Cross with the MC. On the Ascendant with the Sun [15li] is the dwarf planet Haumea [21li] amidst the stars of Bootes. Nick Fiorenza [1] gives the following delineation for Haumea and Bootes.

Haumea’s propensity is to intercede with dynamic motion from a state of equilibrium and poise to support a new and wholistic birth in consciousness, one in which the feminine has autonomy to act in accord with nature and the natural world, and to express a new level of awareness about what is truly life supportive, especially regarding the use of the fundamental primordial forces of life. Haumea also appears to motivate action to reorient world powers’ militaristic destructive use of power and resources into a nurturing force that supports and protects life, home and family; and that aids humanity’s emergence into a spiritually and primordial aware state of being. At a personal level, Haumea inspires the application of our personal attributes and resources for these same principles.

Also conjunct the Sun [15li] are Seginus, gamma Bootes [17li] and Mufrid, eta Bootes [19li]

The stars of Boötes impel one to create and ensure a proper and harmonious environmental resonance for the healthy evolution of all life. Seginus, the left shoulder of Boötes, the Virgin’s consort and protector, is of strength and responsibility. It along with the stars forming the upraised arm and hand, Gamma, Theta, Iota and Kappa, impel rebellious stance against manipulative or medaling totalitarian authorities attempting to interfere with the healthy birth and expression of soul consciousness on Earth. Seginus conjoins Muphrid, the left foot of Boötes, which impels confident non-hesitant action to provide personal and intimate support by making possible and ensuring proper energetic environments are created so that souls have the opportunity to birth, evolve and express in their highest potential and achieve evolutionary fulfillment.

The Moon [14ar] is conjunct the stars zeta Cephei [14ar] in the King’s Crown and  Alpheratz, alpha Andromeda [14ar], in the head of the Chained Woman. It is extremely interesting that the star in Andromeda’s Head is also the Navel of Pegasus for it means that the Flying Horse, symbol of a powerful mind and unbridled imagination, is “born” from the head of a Chained Woman; thus the great message here is that no matter what constraint life imposes  our minds are free!  Also influencing this area is is 96  G. Piscium below the west cord of the Pisces Fishes.

Pisces is the constellation of the two fishes. The western fish swims west, horizontally along the ecliptic plane, with its head marking the cusp of sidereal Pisces, marked by the "Circlet" of stars. The western fish articulates our primordial (and sleeping) nature, and our unconscious participation in the cycle of mortal life. The eastern fish leaps upward, vertically from the ecliptic plane, seeking freedom at the shores of sidereal Aries. The eastern fish articulates our desire to ascend from our primordial origins, and our capacity to awaken from submersion in the tumultuous psychic emotional human world articulated by southern Cetus. The tails of the two fishes are tied together, at the knot (Katain or Alrisha). [2]

Zeta Cephei, a star in King’s Crown  exemplifies the role or crown of the King—to protect and govern without being lost by the pull of the past – the cord that ties the west fish (past) to the eastern fish (future).

Finally, Sabian symbols sometimes surprise us with their relevance. Here the Sabian symbol for the Sun [15li05] i.e. 16 Libra is self explanatory.

Phase 196 (Libra 16) After a storm, a boat landing stands in need of reconstruction

Boats enable man to exploit the resources of the sea. But any civilized society must be wary of over-exploitation of the sea as it is likely to be wrecked by storms. After a storm, these boat landings must be slowly reconstructed.
