Is it possible to hold all the grief in the world
and not get crushed by it? I ask this question because our failure to deal with
the collective and individual pain generated as a result of our destructive
economic system is blocking us from reaching out for the solutions that can
help us to find another direction. Our decision to value above all else
comfort, convenience and a superficial view of happiness, has led to feelings
of disassociation and numbness and as a result we bury our grief deep within our
subconscious. The consequence is not only a compulsion to consume even more in
an attempt to hide our guilt but also a projection of our hidden pain onto the
world around us and at the deepest level, the Earth itself. The Guardian; 2

The Full
Moon eclipse at Findhorn , Scotland falls in the 5th
house of pleasures and overindulgence opposite the Sun in the 11th
house which is about long term national
programs and schemes for improvement implying that these two aims are polar
opposites and we need to find a new balance between the two.
On the
Ascendant [25sc] is Saturn [21sc]. Here the Serpent of temptation and
half-beast Centaurus lure some into intemperance and excessive self-indulgence.
The Libra Scales of Justice bring in souls willing to champion difficult or
unpopular causes. Very concerned with doing the right thing but sensitive,
bitter and deeply angry about injustice there may be great inner tension and a
battle with brooding, depression and despair but always with the regenerative,
renewing potential of the healing Serpent. Here the Scales offer wisdom and
insight to understand the excesses while the Serpent can heal all wounds. [1]
The eclipse
Sun [15li] is conjunct the asteroid Lacrimosa [12li] and the dwarf planet
Haumea [21li]. Haumea urges us to act in accord with nature and the natural
world, and to express a new level of awareness about what is truly life supportive
and Lacrimosa deals with grief and despair which must follow if we don’t.
The Full
Moon eclipse is the culmination of the New Moon of September 24, 2014 New Moon conjoins the Dwarf
Planet Makemake which rules the proper administration
of resources for the sake of ecology and
human survival. Makemake also impels enterprising action to create environmental
conditions that ensure a healthy, prosperous and abundant life for all.
The New
Moon [1li] was placed on the Ascendant [1li50] conjunct the stars of the
constellation Virgo. The following passage from Aratus about Virgo tells us why
this constellation is linked to simple living and gentleness to all creatures.
Her men called Justice (Dike); but she assembling
the elders, it might be in the market-place or in the wide-wayed streets,
uttered her voice, ever urging on them judgments kinder to the people.
Not yet in that age had men knowledge of hateful strife, or carping contention,
or din of battle, but a simple life they lived.
But when she
had filled the great heights with gathering crowds, then would she with threats
rebuke their evil ways, and declare that never more at their prayer would she
reveal her face to man. "Behold what manner of race the fathers of the
Golden Age left behind them! Far meaner than themselves! but ye will breed a
viler progeny! [the Iron Age?]. Verily wars and cruel bloodshed shall be unto
men and grievous woe shall be laid upon them." Even so she spake and
sought the hills and left the people all gazing towards her still. But when
they, too, were dead, and when, more ruinous than they which went before, the
Race of Bronze was born, who were the first to forge the sword of the
highwayman, and the first to eat of the flesh of the ploughing-ox, then
verily did Justice loathe that race of men and fly heavenward and took up that
abode, where even now in the night time the Maiden is seen of men, established
near to far-seen Bootes. [Aratus, Phaenomena, 3rd century B.C., p.237-239]
