Japan needs to reassess alliance with US

Japan will today begin exercises with the U.S. Army on its northernmost island of Hokkaido, a day after it started naval maneuvers with Russia 500 miles (800 kilometers) away off the coast of Vladivostok. The drills illustrate the balance Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe must strike between his attempts to mend relations with Russia and the need to bolster his country’s alliance with the U.S. as a backstop to a more assertive China in the region.

“What’s difficult for Japan is that the alliance with the U.S. is the centerpiece of its security policy,” said Taisuke Abiru, a research fellow specializing in Russia at research group The Tokyo Foundation. “How can they maintain this alongside relations with Russia? This is an extremely important problem for Prime Minister Abe now.”  Oct 27. http://bloom.bg/1DByn18

Shown here is the chart for Japan based on the postwar constitution going into effect.
May 03 1947; 12.00.00 AM JST (-09); Tokyo [1].

Japan’s current “peace” constitution was written in ten days February 1947 by two dozen American military and civilian personnel, supervised by Lieut. Col. Charles L. Kades, within Supreme Allied Commander Douglas MacArthur’s GHQ occupation command. It was obviously not in the best interest of Japan. Magosaki Ukeru’s best-selling book, The Truth about [Japan’s] Post-War History 1945-2012 presents an often shocking picture of opportunism and toadyism to U.S. hegemonic demands among Japan’s politicians and, particularly, its foreign affairs bureaucrats, during most of the post war period.  He describes a philosophical and psychological divide that has existed in Japan’s politics between those who would essentially be blind followers and supporters of U.S. policy, and those who would give primacy to Japan’s interests and seek an independent course. [2]

Does the Japan mundane chart bear this out? Here we find the Sun [11ta] is opposite the asteroid 1999 TD10 [11sc]. Juan Antonio Revilla [1] provides the following key phrases for TD10/Sun combinations.

<<Sun/TD10 must fight against oppression and death... TD10 doesn't want the Sun to exist, doesn't want it to have individuality, it wants to suppress it. The result is an inner division that is fundamental, stemming from the roots, part of the justification to exist.>>

>- violation and destruction of sovereignty.
>- fundamentalism, omnipotent authoritarianism
>- "playing God", or "playing daddy".

The current solar return chart for Japan has a Grand Cross straddling the meridian axis. The meaning of elements of the Cross  as provided by Martha Wescott are:

Uranus-Pluto: Power struggles with friends; to recognize that the threat of separation or demand for independence can bring vindictive reactions or is based on attempts to regain control.
Ceres-Vesta: emotional distancing from care-givers
Ceres-Pluto: A need  for a return to integrity ; to learn to be true to oneself and  not harbor or permit long  periods of unhealthy dependence on others.
Vesta-Pluto: Can you remain  detached, step back and see psychological  processes, motives and emotional ploys without being drawn in, without  being  "engaged" in the struggle or outcome?

Progressing the solar return chart to Oct.27, the date of the news, aligns the Grand Cross with the horizon axis bringing events in which the central issues mentioned above are highlighted.
