Praesepe, “The Beehive”
A formal letter to the United States Department of
Agriculture reports that scientists are being harassed and their research on
bee-killing pesticides is being censored or suppressed by the
Monsanto-infiltrated agency (the USDA). Surprised, anyone? At least we are organizing
formally against a scourge that has been painfully obvious for years now. A
broad coalition of farmers, environmentalists, fisheries and food-safety
organizations (over 25 citizens’ groups) urged an investigation into the USDA’s
support of the chemical industry over the American public in a May 5 letter

Moon is placed in the fourth house that is linked to farming and agriculture
[1]. It also aligns with the Mars-Saturn
opposition axis with the Saturn
end forming a hard aspect to Pluto. This combination can be read as a letter
(Gemini) of protest (Mars) addressed to concerned authorities (Saturn) to do
something about corporate corruption
(Pluto in Capricorn). With Pluto
conjunct the Ascendant and square Uranus, the long term Uranus-Pluto now
separating square is once again emphasized. In earlier posts we have seen that this
symbolizes the archetypal clash: courageous/warrior-like actions of individuals
on behalf of the people's liberties (Uranus in Aries) vs. an
intensification/consolidation of power by institutional structures facing
threats to their authority (Pluto in Capricorn).
And now here
is most interesting part, the Sun [+19d28] is parallel to the star cluster
Praesepe [+19d37] M44 Cancri, “The Beehive”. Diana Rosenberg [2] lists “studies and events related to bees”
among events connected with this cluster!
