Canada election: Liberals sweep to power

Canada's Liberal Party has decisively won a general election, ending nearly a decade of Conservative rule. The centrist Liberals, led by Justin Trudeau, started the campaign in third place but in a stunning turnaround now command a majority. Mr Trudeau, the 43-year-old son of late Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, said Canadians had voted for real change. Incumbent Conservative PM Stephen Harper accepted defeat and his party said he will step down as leader. Oct.20 http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-34578213

We are now beginning to see some of the results of the powerful eclipses that took place in September. Nick Fiorenza very appropriately entitled his  monthly post  for the September 13, 2015 New Moon “Winds of Change & New Beginnings” [1]. This New Moon began an eclipse lunar cycle.  Eclipses tend to bring about endings and new beginnings.

Shown here is the chart for the Full Moon lunar eclipse of September 27 drawn for Ottawa. The Moon is in 10th house that rules the government or the party in power while the 4th house rules the opposition. Here the Moon is conjunct the South Node. South Lunar Node eclipses are more about relinquishment and North Lunar Node eclipses are more about engagement in a new future.  So we can already see that the eclipse favours the opposition.

Also notice that the eclipse Sun [4li] is conjunct North Node [0li] and the dwarf planet Makemake [1li] which Nick Fiorenza explains is about worthy leaders:

Based upon an exploration of Makemake’s orbital parameters and its recent role during the 2008-2011 economic turn, Makemake appears to bring attention to leadership issues regarding the administration of resources; and in areas involving economics, ecology and human survival. Makemake may impel strategic planning and enterprising action to create environmental conditions that ensure a healthy, prosperous and abundant life for groups or for the people in general. Makemake may also act to sort out those who are truly worthy of being in a leadership role from those who are not.

If indeed the eclipse is sorting out those who are truly worthy of being in a leadership role from those who are not, then its progression to October 20, the date of the news, should reflect it. Shown below is the progressed eclipse chart. Notice that the eclipse axis aligns with the meridian on that date and is thereby triggered.
