Thai King Bhumibol Adulyadej's favourite dog,
Tongdaeng, who became a national celebrity, has died at the age of 17. The kind
adopted Tongdaeng in 1998 as a puppy and wrote a book praising her loyalty and
obedience. Last month, a man was charged with insulting Tongdaeng on social
media and could face up to 37 years in jail under Thailand's lese-majeste laws.
The strict laws protect the king and his family against defamation. As he has
aged, King Bhumibol's public appearances have become more scarce - but until
recently, when he did appear, it was often in the company of the reddish-brown
dog Tongdaeng, says the BBC's Jonathan Head in Bangkok. Dec.29 http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-35195046
As shown in
this chart above, the Christmas Full Moon fell on the horizon axis at Thailand’s capital Bangkok. The Ascendant [7cn]
conjoined the TNPs Kronos-Hades and the star Mirzam [7cn]. Beta (β), Mirzam, is
a white 2nd magnitude star in Canis Major on the front left paw of the Greater
Dog.
Murzim, generally but less correctly Mirzam,
and occasionally Mirza, is from Al Murzim, the Announcer. This star Mirzam or
beta (β) Canis Major, was often combined by the Arabs with the star beta (β)
Canis Minor (Gomeisa), and these two beta stars together were titled "The
Announcers", heralding the coming of Sirius, the biggest star in the sky,
because they rose before Sirius in the night sky. In the plural they were Al
Mirzamani, or as Al Mirzama al Shi'rayain, the two Sirian Announcers; Ideler's
idea of the applicability of this title being that this star announced the
immediate rising of the still brighter Sirius [1].
The TNPs
Kronos-Hades on the Ascendant form a
quincunx aspect to Saturn in the 6th house. Among other things, the
6th house rules “pets” [2].
Kronos-Saturn: Events
through the patriarch, elder statesman or
aging leader [3]
Hades-Kronos: A leader
in decline [3].
Placed
exactly opposite on the descendant is the asteroid Lacrimosa [7cp] that is
associated with death so that putting the elements together, it should be no surprise that we hear about the
death of an ailing King’s pet dog.
