Uranus-Pluto-Mercury: Charsadda attack and Hyderabad suicide

Rohith Vemula (26), a second year PhD student at University of Hyderabad, committed suicide on Sunday evening. According to The New Indian Express report, Vemula was active in student politics, but had grown increasingly silent after the disciplinary action was initiated against him by the university. The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of various student groups said Rohith was highly depressed due to suspension and expulsion from the hostel. According to the latest CNN IBN report, Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and University vice chancellor have been booked under SC/ST act. JNU students are protesting over this issue near the HRD ministry and have written a letter to Smriti Irani about the same, seeking resignation of the Hyderabad University's VC.  Jan. 18 http://goo.gl/t3QDBx

Security forces have ended a gun and bomb attack on a university in north-west Pakistan in which 19 people were killed and 50 injured. Four suspected attackers also died in a battle that lasted nearly three hours at Bacha Khan University in Charsadda. There are conflicting reports about whether Pakistan Taliban militants carried out the assault. The group killed 130 students at a school in the city of Peshawar, 50km (30 miles) from Charsadda, in 2014. About 3,000 students are enrolled at Bacha Khan but hundreds of visitors were also expected on Wednesday for a poetry event. Jan. 20 http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-35359072

Transiting retrograde Mercury squares Uranus and conjoins Pluto (Jan. 20 to Jan.22). The effect of the Uranus-Pluto square in one sentence would be: Rebellions (Uranus)  fomented by individuals (Aries) who stand up in protest against the oppressive (Pluto)  influence (real or perceived) of institutions (Capricorn).

Shown here  are the charts for the Mercury-Uranus square drawn for Hyderabad and Charsadda where the two incidents reported above have taken place. Notice that the common factor is the placement of the T-square comprising Mercury-Uranus-Pluto-Zeus on the horizon axis. Mercury rules young people, schools and places of learning so that both events are connected with a university. Mercury is conjunct the asteroid Lacrimosa which like the asteroid Orpheus rules both depression as well as death.
