Hundreds of letters and photographs that tell the
story of Pope John Paul II's close relationship with a married woman, which
lasted more than 30 years, have been shown to the BBC. The letters to
Polish-born American philosopher Anna-Teresa Tymieniecka had been kept away
from public view in the National Library of Poland for years. The documents
reveal a rarely seen side of the pontiff, who died in 2005. Feb.15 http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-35542708
Pope John
Paul II's horoscope is available at Astrodienst [1]. The Sabian symbol of his
radix Sun [27ta21] is “A mature woman past
her change of life awakened to a new romance” sums up quite appropriately his involvement
with Anna-Teresa Tymieniecka. The friendship began in 1973 when Ms Tymieniecka
contacted the future Pope. In the Pope’s chart, solar arc Venus was conjunct
Pluto in the 9th trine Uranus
in the 5th house.
The
passionate heat of total emotional engagement: that is a basic human need ,
symbolized by Pluto. Much of this
Plutonian truth is held in check by social programming. That programming takes
two forms, each equally potent. The first is our internalized often
unconscious, training in “goodness” or “normalcy”. The second is the
present web of interpersonal or communal
constraints that bind us. When Uranus enters the picture, the power of that
social programming diminishes. Plutonian truths begin to surface quickly. It
is a season of rapid personal evolution and sudden circumstantial changes
driven by a rising realizations of one’s actual desires and emotions. With
Venus involved, relationships “cross
lines of taboo” [2].
But that was
in 1973 in the Pope’s chart, why has this news come up now.The chart for the
upcoming solar eclipse of March 9 at London will help explain this news. Notice
three significant features of the chart (a) the eclipse is conjunct the star Achernar (b) the
eclipse makes a T-square with Jupiter-Saturn that straddles the horizon (b) Uranus-Pluto and the meridian form another
T-square that is anchored to the eclipse T-square.
The eclipse
is placed in the 3rd house which rules “the press” [3] while Jupiter
is in the 9th which rules “religion
and clergy of any kind and affairs of the church”[4]. With the meridian in
aspect to Uranus-Pluto, the news is further narrowed down to the expression of
desires and emotions that cross taboo
lines.
Alpha (α) Eridanus, Achernar, is a
white star situated in the mouth of the River.
“Achernar is credited with bestowing high offices in the church”. [Fixed
Stars and Their Interpretation, Elsbeth Ebertin, 1928, p.80.]
Finally,
notice that if we converse progress the
eclipse chart to Feb.15, the date of the news, the eclipse T-square aligns with
the meridian triggering the event.
