Europe has answered the call of the French
youth-led ‘Nuit Debout’ movement urging people to protest against austerity and
other troubling social and economic issues. Rallies have been held in dozens of
cities, with the largest crowds in Paris and Madrid. May 16 https://www.rt.com/news/343127-global-debout-france-spain/
Nuit debout
is a French social movement that began on March 31, 2016, arising out of
protests against proposed labor reforms but has spread to dozens of other cities and towns
in France as well as to neighbouring countries in Europe and to countries
further afield.
A chart for
the March 9 solar eclipse at Paris is shown here. Notice that eclipse T-square
straddles the horizon axis and is also locked into the Uranus-Pluto-Zeus
T-square on the meridian.
The eclipse
occurs amongst the flowing waters dispensed from the Urn of Aquarius. It also
conjoins Fum al Samakah, the mouth of the primordial fish which gulps the water
flowing from Water Bearer’s Urn (see image). The stars here articulate and impel the dispersion
or distribution of resources for the good of all mankind. The stream of
Aquarius is of nourishment, of giving and bestowal. These stars bring
inspiration to facilitate for others the ability to move into a greater flow or
involvement in life, to make it possible for others to sculpt or cultivate
lives that lead to the fulfillment of their pursuits. They impel the
dissolution of limitations to achieve dreams and higher ideals [1].
The following
extract from Bill Herbst’s s essay Uranus-Pluto:
The Rebellion Against Institutions, explains what we are seeing in the French
movement.[2]
“I hold it that a little rebellion now
and then is a good thing, and as necessary in the political world as storms in
the physical.” Thomas Jefferson
Jefferson wasn’t suggesting the
wholesale overthrow of governments or violent
descent into social chaos. He was pointing out that, without some
rebellion every so often, politics will inevitably become sclerotic and cease
to perform its intended function of serving the wants and needs of the entire
society. The symbolic meaning of Uranus in Aries first-quarter square to Pluto
in Capricorn — the ongoing and preeminent astrological event of this decade —
is to make that necessity a reality. The alignment indicates a breakdown in our
largest institutions (Capricorn) that starts from within the institutions
themselves as an egregious overplaying of their power in ways that are clearly
self-serving rather than for the greater good (Pluto), which is then furthered
by an unexpected rebellion (Uranus) against institutional malfeasance, a
seemingly spontaneous insurrection that occurs from the ground level up,
fomented by individuals (Aries) who stand up in protest against the oppressive
influence of such institutions. http://www.billherbst.com/Comm14.pdf
If we
progress the eclipse chart to May 15, the Ascendant reaches a conjunction to
the eclipse triggering the entire configuration.
