Understanding Boris Johnson

Yvette Cooper, the former Labour Cabinet minister, has suggested that Boris Johnson has been sent to the Foreign Office so that Theresa May will have “someone to blame” if the Brexit negotiations hit the rocks. That is one explanation for the new Prime Minister’s decision to hand this sensitive job to such an unsafe choice.

Of Johnson’s many indiscretions, the worst arguably, was deliberate and gratuitous. When The Spectator ran a competition inviting readers to write poems insulting Turkey’s President Recip Erdogan, the then Mayor of London could not resist submitting a contribution which included a made up word beginning with ‘w’ that rhymed with the Turkish capital, Ankara.

And official reaction from the USA was restrained, considering that Johnson has in the past described Barack Obama as ‘half Kenyan’, Hillary Clinton as having “a steely blue stare, like a sadistic nurse in a mental hospital”, Donald Trump of showing “stupifying ignorance", and George W. Bush as “a cross-eyed Texan warmonger, unelected, inarticulate, who epitomizes the arrogance of American foreign policy.”

Johnson is a controversial figure in British politics and journalism. He has been described  as "the most unconventional, yet compelling politician of the post-Blair era" capable of  "polarising opinions to the extreme". Critics view him as "variously evil, a clown, a racist and a bigot".

Boris was born on 19 June 1964 at 2:00 pm EDT NY. His natal Sun is conjunct the stars Betelgeuse and Menkalinan about which Nick Fiorenza writes:

Betelgeuse marks Orion's right shoulder, from which he holds the upraised sword just under the gate of Man. Betelgeuse embodies the theme of a male warrior, is of a kingly nature, authoritative and is of human resourcefulness in action. Betelgeuse inspires a sense of responsibility to dynamically response to whatever is occurring in the moment. Betelgeuse will challenge existing systems or authorities to cut through whatever is in the way of solution. Menkalinan, the right shoulder of Auriga the Charioteer, conjoins Betelgeuse, the right shoulder of Orion, and the "Gate of Man." Menkalinan is also a polarizer that will show indecision by bringing experience of the opposite side of an issue to make clear the choices and to reveal one's hesitancy to respond to life in the moment. Menkalinan can dramatize through graphic illustration to elucidate one's hesitancies for those not abiding to the more subtle messages within. Menkalinan's helps to cut through the confusion, to make things plain and clear. Menkalinan is associate to Capella, Auriga's lucida, the Starseed Messenger of Light [1].

The second thing to note is his Mars at the apex of a T-square with Saturn-Uranus-Pluto – a combination that would indicate violence or ruthlessness but  Mars in Gemini would more appropriately describe a man of letters whose forcefulness is reflected in his acerbic style of speaking and writing.

In summary, therefore, even though his critics may find him disgusting this would appear to describe his behavior perfectly. After all this is what he was here to do and we must admit that he is doing it very well!
