Congress rejects Obama veto of Saudi 9/11 lawsuits bill

Congress has voted to override President Barack Obama's veto of a bill that would allow families of 9/11 victims to sue Saudi Arabian officials. In the first veto override of his presidency, the Senate voted 97-1 and the House of Representatives 348-77, meaning the bill becomes law. Mr Obama told CNN the lawmakers had made "a mistake". The president argued the bill could expose US companies, troops and officials to potential lawsuits abroad. CIA Director John Brennan said the vote carried "grave implications" for national security, adding: "The downside is potentially huge." The House and Senate unanimously passed the legislation, known as the Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism (JASTA), this year despite the Obama administration's lobbying efforts. This New Moon eclipse lies in the midst of the stars of Leo and under the auspices of Thuban of Draco and Alioth of the Great Bear. It also conjoins the stars of the Sextant, and Suhail Velorum of Argo Navis in the very southern heavens. In his post on the eclipse entitled New Directions, Nick Fiorenza explains that this eclipse is prompting us to move towards the truth and  away from authority figures who have so far controlled us. The eclipse forms a T with the third and final Saturn-Neptune waning  geocentric square.  With Saturn acting on Neptune, an opportunity is provided to get at the truth that has so far been  covered by a veil of lies.

Progressing the eclipse chart brings, the luminaries and the T to an alignment with the horizon axis on September 28, the date of the news.

Notice that a Uranus-Eris conjunction is also anchored to the eclipse.  Uranus and Eris now making their second geocentric conjunction are “upsetting the apple cart” so to speak. Radical, unexpected and unprecedented actions and disclosures that eventually lead to progressive rebirth is the hallmark.
Uranus-Eris are conjunct stars in the constellation of  the dictatorial King Cepheus and his daughter  Princess Andromeda depicted in chains. In the story of the Royal Family[1], Princess Andromeda has been condemned to be devoured by the sea-monster Cetus, sent by Poseidon. King Cepheus is in denial and turns his face away from his daughter’s plight. Much later in the story, the hero Perseus rescues Andromeda.  The presence of Uranus, the planet associated with freedom, is now moving the story towards its end.  Readers will recognize King Cepheus’ role being played out by Obama who has been in denial  about the plight of the victims of 9/11.
