Solar Eclipse and the US Presidential election

The US Presidential Election will take place on November 8, 2016. In this post we look at how the current solar eclipse of September 1 influences the election day. This does not mean that the outcome of the election can be predicted because while the stars bring their influence to bear, it is the free will of the American people that will decide the winner. To quote Alan Leo, “the stars incline; they do not compel”.

Shown here is the eclipse chart progressed to November 8. Notice that the progressed descendant reaches a conjunction to Uranus- Eris which form one leg of a configuration involving the eclipse thereby triggering it. The following is an edited summary of Nick Fiorenza’s blog post  on the solar eclipse entitled New Directions [1].

This New Moon eclipse lies in the midst of the stars of Leo and under the auspices of Thuban of Draco and Alioth of the Great Bear. Thuban of Draco refers to tyrannical leaders. Alignments with Alioth teach us that responsible use of free will can alter our destiny. Alioth stimulates the use of personal will and our need to initiate personal action to free ourselves from authoritarian rulers. This area is about the separation between those choosing to fight for a greater evolutionary vision and those wanting to maintain totalitarian control of the Earth.

Eris overturns our current perception so that we may expand and redefine our perceptual view of the reality in which we live. Among the stars that conjoin Eris are those on Andromeda’s chained arms signifying  limitations imposed by authoritarian forces. Opposite Eris is Haumea on the Ascendant. Haumea is placed amidst the stars of Boötes  which stands against the fallen corrupt totalitarian world powers that desire to keep mankind enslaved.

As Eris impels us to open our eyes to see a greater truth hidden by lies and deceit, or simply by self-deception or limited perception, Haumea impels us to reorient the use of power for destructive purposes to create a new life, a new birth in consciousness. Progressive Uranus stimulates lightning-like radical change that breaks us from the conforming bounds of the established order, awakening higher mind and inspiring new discoveries. Uranus-Eris conjunction opposite Haumea may create a quickening of disruptive events that challenge us to recreate how we participate in life in ways that are attuned to a greater reality being exposed before our eyes [2].

In the light of the foregoing, the South Node – Neptune conjunction is referring to a past when the general populace was disillusioned , perhaps because of  an ungrounded faith in leaders who proved to be less worthy than anticipated. With the eclipse conjunct the North Node in Virgo, this time around the Virgo quality of critical discrimination is required. While Saturn square Neptune brings a feeling of futility or impossibility, it also challenges the masses to see the reality through  the   fog of lies that the propaganda machine is churning out.

Since Hillary Clinton represents the established order more than Trump, it appears that in a race between the two, the stars would favor Trump. But all will depend on the free-will of the American people and whether they are awake to the issues mentioned above.
