The death of a “white dwarf” star and what it means

The NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope has released a colorful image of a demise of a Sun-like star.
The picture, posted Friday (23 Sept.) , shows the "last hurrah" of the white dwarf star. When dying, it casts off its outer layers of gas forming a cocoon around the remaining core. Glowing is caused by ultraviolet light. Sept.25 https://sputniknews.com/world/20160925/1045672394/hubble-captures-star-demise.html

The planetary nebula in this image is called NGC 2440. The white dwarf at the center of NGC 2440 lies about 4,000 light-years from Earth in the direction of the constellation Puppis.

In his book The Soul of the Sky, Philip Sedgwick explains the deeper meaning of a White Dwarf.

White Dwarfs represent the collapse of the little ego, the attenuation of one's faulty psychology.
In many Eastern Mysticisms initiates must relinquish the ego for the sake of the soul. The
galactic analogue for this sacrifice comes from the White Dwarf. On a more western level, the
process consists of going through the ego, exploiting it fully, to learn its exasperating limits. At
that point, collapse to a predefined level - that of the soul - results. Here, a person realizes
material limits, merits of the "real world" and pragmatic concerns.

The White Dwarf remains extremely dense, full of gravitational emphasis - a Saturn-like
essence. The alleged containment of rings of the Saturn quality is contradicted by the lack of
fusion. This fusion-denial image adds a latent Pluto characteristic - that of apparent involuntary
bonding. The explosion to the Super Nova only occurs when another (star) yields its matter
(resources) and adds to what matters in the White Dwarf. Then, full active potential results. But
first and foremost, the failure of the ego to support the person in the physical realm must precede
the Super Nova evolutionary step. Once ego has been fully utilized and fails, the individual
listens to urges of spirit. The soul urge now speaking makes little sense in the pragmatic realm.
The person now contradicts most of what was once infinitely important. The luxury vehicle is
traded in for a utility vehicle (at least now most luxury car companies make one, despite negative
environmental impact - it’s so complicated). The good job falls to the creative urges once latent
in the being. Relationships of object affection give way to relationships of soulful urges.

The white dwarf at the center of NGC 2440 was in the constellation Puppis, in the Stern of the Celestial Ship Argo Navis. The demise of the star has taken place in the lunar month that began with the New Moon  solar eclipse of September 1. The New Moon  was conjunct stars Thuban of Draco, Alioth of the Great Bear and  Sextant, and Suhail Velorum of Argo Navis in the very southern heavens.

In his September blogpost on the eclipse, entitled New Directions, Nick Fiorenza writes:

Solar eclipses offer opportunity to redefine concepts of self and the roles we play in the world, or how we articulate ourselves in life. They are about shifting octaves in the nature of our self-perception and self-expression, and addressing issues that keep us from doing so. They can invite a new beginning, way of life, or new way of participating in life.

This is a potent and catalytic lunar cycle. It impels self-expression driven from an intensely focused inner purpose. It may bring about  a reorganization of those in leadership roles and the use of power in the world, as well as how we lead our own lives or give our power away to the illusory reasons we create to justify disempowerment. It impels a turning or redirection of the affairs in our personal lives and those occurring in the world.

Positive influences of the eclipse can prod a person or even a nation to take a  “spiritual” journey into the unknown (Argo)  after the failure of the ego to support the person /nation in the physical realm (white dwarf).

Shown here is a chart for the solar eclipse at Washington DC progressed to September 23, the date NASA published the picture of the death of the star. Notice that eclipse along with the Saturn-Neptune square aligns with the horizon and is thereby triggered.

That  this eclipse is also  active on election day November 8 was discussed in a previous post [1]. It appears  that the death of the white dwarf star is signaling the end of the current establishment in power.

Note:

Inauguration Day 2017, the day the winner of the 2016 presidential election will assume the role of chief executive of the United States, is Friday, Jan. 20, 2017. The nation's 45th president will be sworn in on the steps of the U.S. Capitol at noon, when the term of President Barack Obama expires. Notice  that the September 1 eclipse is once again active on Jan. 20, 2017, straddling the horizon. With Saturn conjunct the anti-establishment star Antares on the Ascendant we get a further hint that the “New Directions”  impetus that Nick Fiorenza attributes to this eclipse will come through a candidate who recognizes that the present structure does not serve the masses.
