Astrology of the Italian referendum

Investors reeling from democratic shocks in Britain and the U.S. are worried about Italy’s future in Europe’s monetary union. They’re concerned that a defeat for Prime Minister Matteo Renzi in the Dec. 4 constitutional-reform referendum would undermine the nation’s fragile political stability.
A defeat for Renzi, who proposed the vote and initially pledged to resign if the result didn’t go his way, could lead to early elections and a rise in support for the populist Five Star Movement. This party has pledged to carry out a referendum on whether Italy should stay in the euro area. Some investors are already predicting the end of the European Union, let alone the single currency.

"The horoscope for the Italian Republic is set for 10 June 1946. . . . On 2 June a referendum was held on the future of the monarchy which produced a majority in favour of abolition. The announcement of the referendum results at between 6:00 p.m. and 6:10 p.m. on 10 June was taken as a de facto proclamation of the Republic, and Chart 168 is set for 6:10 p.m." Campion, "The Book of World Horoscopes" (Second Edition), pp. 211-213 [1]. Some authors use 6 pm and I believe that is a better fit. Shown here is Italy’s chart based on this data. Notice that Saturn transit is about to oppose radix Sun-Uranus square TNP Cupido. Martha Wescott links Cupido-Uranus as desire for freedom from families or groups of which one is a member. We would, therefore, expect that there are good chances for Italy to move away from EU membership.

Also presented here is the precession corrected solar return chart of Italy progressed to December 4. Notice that a Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune T aligns with the meridian on the  crucial date. Once again this square can be associated with a desire to separate from too close an association to a group.
