The
woolly mammoth vanished from the Earth 4,000 years ago, but now scientists say
they are on the brink of resurrecting the ancient beast in a revised form,
through an ambitious feat of genetic engineering. Speaking ahead of the
American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) annual meeting in
Boston this week, the scientist leading the “de-extinction” effort said the
Harvard team is just two years away from creating a hybrid embryo, in which
mammoth traits would be programmed into an Asian elephant. The creature,
sometimes referred to as a “mammophant”, would be partly elephant, but with
features such as small ears, subcutaneous fat, long shaggy hair and
cold-adapted blood. The mammoth genes for these traits are spliced into the
elephant DNA using the powerful gene-editing tool, Crispr. Feb 16 https://www.theguardian.com/science/2017/feb/16/woolly-mammoth-resurrection-scientists
The conjunction of planets is an important event that
mundane astrologers pay close attention to. A map for the conjunction of Mars-Saturn
on Aug. 24, 2016 at Cambridge, MA has it
placed on the 4th cusp amid the stars of the medicine man Ophiuchus.
The conjunction is square Neptune and the nodal axis.
Ophiuchus, or Serpentarius, the Serpent-holder, the Serpent
Bearer, the Serpent Wrestler, or the Snake Charmer, is depicted holding a
snake, the snake is represented by the constellation Serpens.
In his book The Cosmic Serpent , Jeremy Narby
explains how inside the nucleus, DNA coils and uncoils, writhes and wriggles so
that scientists often compare the form and movements of this long molecule to
those of a snake. His comparison of the ancient cosmic serpent myths to the
genetic situation in every living cell reveals the immortal bio-molecular
wizard behind the curtain of everyday life.
Ophiuchus is identified with Aesculapius (Asklepios,
Asclepius), an ancient physician who grew so skilled in the craft of healing
that he was able to restore the dead to life. However, because this was
a crime against the natural order, Zeus destroyed him with a thunderbolt.
According to one version (Pindar's) he offended Zeus by accepting a fee in
exchange for raising the dead. Ophiuchus is identified with the Euphratean
Sagimu (Sa-gi-mu), the God of Invocation [1].
The fourth house with its connection to the beginning of
things rules the past so that in this case here the Mars-Saturn conjunction on
the 4th cusp is referring to an attempt by the magician Ophiuchus to bring back the
Woolly Mammoth, a creature from the distant past. Confirming this analysis, is
the position of Neptune and the South Node conjunct the stars of Phoenix,
the mythical bird that rises from its ashes!
If we now progress the Mars-Saturn conjunction chart to Feb.
16, the date of the news, we find that the progressed MC reaches the
conjunction thereby triggering the T-square
