Hong Kong goes crazy for 'hero' policeman

A 20-year-old Hong Kong policeman has swept to fame online after he talked a suicidal Pakistani man out of killing himself - in fluent Urdu. The man had climbed a 20-metre-high (65ft) crane at a construction site, and police were called to the scene. Ifzal Zaffar, who is of Pakistani descent, duly climbed up too and addressed him in their shared language. The man agreed to come down, and was taken to hospital. Constable Zaffar, who also speaks fluent Cantonese, said he was simply following his training.  March 14 http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-39272061

Shown here is the chart for the current sidereal Capricorn  ingress of the Sun drawn for Hongkong. Notice that the Sun is at the apex of a T-square that straddles the horizon axis. This cardinal T-square between Jupiter, Uranus, and Pluto remains our biggest astrological influence through the first three-quarters of '17. The Uranus-Pluto square has been around for a long time and is familiar to readers. What's different now is the participation of a third planetary player-Jupiter in Libra-adding a distinct voice to the ongoing discussion between Uranus and Pluto. Jupiter's additional voice presents us the possibility of opening up to new alternatives for how to find solutions to the chaos generated by the Uranus-Pluto square. Jupiter in Libra holds the promise of enhancing our capacity for dialogue  and to gracefully negotiate win-win solutions where all parties gain something while giving something else up. These are some of Libra's finest qualities, and Jupiter's presence there beckons us to invest in such approaches. The impetuous and deranged action of individuals (Uranus in Aries) often stem  from despair and disillusionment with existing institutions that refuse to change for fear of losing control (Pluto in Capricorn).   In its highest expression, the Uranus-Pluto-Jupiter T- square would bring about changes  that would make society  more balanced, healthy, and sane.  It would promote sharing, cooperation, and empathy in  interpersonal interactions (Libra). And through this it would help rebuild  institutions (Capricorn) that recognize the genuineness of individual needs (Aries).

The Hongkong police officer is a hero  since he lived up to the higher expression of the T-square. “To protect and serve” defines the core spirituality of working in law enforcement. In the ideal, every police officer takes on that extraordinary responsibility as a sacred duty always lives up to it and never forgets it. When he or she puts on the uniform, every police officer stops being a regular person. For the durations of their daily work shifts, police officers are no longer “citizens.” They perform as protective “angels” for all citizens. Yes, they have weapons and social permission to use them, but the use of deadly force is not  their primary authority and should never be their first choice. Instead, the real power of their authority lies in the ability to reassure the citizenry that civilization is truly civil.

If we now progress the ingress chart to March 14, the date of the news, the T-square square once again aligns with the angles creating an event that contains the essence of what we have discussed above.
