Gunmen
opened fire on two buses and a truck carrying Coptic Christians in Minya, Egypt
on Friday, killing at least 28, including children. Some 24 people were also
injured in the attack. The
group of between eight and 10 gunmen, reportedly dressed in military uniforms
according to eyewitnesses, approached the convoy in three four-wheel-drive
pickup trucks before opening fire, according to local media reports and the
Egyptian Interior Ministry. May 27 https://www.rt.com/news/389798-egypt-coptic-christians-killed/
The May 25, 2017 New Moon [4ge46] is conjunct the Hyades – a
group of “stormy” stars in the head of the charging Bull. About this area,
Diana Rosenberg writes:
Often there is
something to do with intolerance and
discrimination in their lives, many here perpetrate, experience or have to deal
with racism, bigotry and persecution , even extremes of cruelty, insanity, murder
and/or suicide.
At Minya, Egypt, the New Moon takes place in the 5th
house which on its own is not significant. However, since it is anchored through
a hard aspect to Pluto – the apex of a T – on the Ascendant, it carries an important
message for the place. Pluto is conjunct stars of the Archer. The Archer with
his bow and arrow is fiercely absolutist in his belief. There is no half-way
here but extremism for good or evil, including vicious prejudice and cruel,
even sadistic persecutions. The Jupiter-Pluto square adds the element of
religious intolerance.
The stars of the Twins [1] occupy the descendant, opposite the apex Pluto, at what is commonly
known as the “reaction point” of a T-square. The Twins represent the brotherhood-sisterhood
of all humankind, The Twins are siblings who are often at loggerheads so that issues of hatred, intolerance and racial
bigotry are major concerns under the Twins (notice Castor’s bow and arrows and
Pollux’s club).
