The Myth of the Rule of Law

Any state, no matter how powerful, cannot not rule solely through the use of brute force. There are too few rulers and too many of us for coercion alone to be an effective means of control. The political class must rely on ideology to achieve popular compliance, masking the iron fist in a velvet glove. Violence is always behind every state action, but the most efficient form of expropriation occurs when the public believes it is in their interest to be extorted. The Mises Institute is located at Auburn, Alabama.  A chart for the last solar eclipse of February 27 at Auburn is shown here.

The eclipse is placed in the 11th house which rules the Parliament  and similar law making bodies. It makes hard aspects to the Uranus-Pluto-Jupiter T-square which straddles the meridian.

At the core of this T is  Uranus in Aries square to Pluto in Capricorn, which is the most significant astrological alignment of this decade.  This square refers to the archetypal clash: the freedom of individual (Uranus in Aries)  vs  the power of the state (Pluto in Capricorn).

Pluto in Capricorn represents the  authorities at the top of the social hierarchies who  give orders that are to be obeyed by all those below. The Plutonian process involves increasing extremes followed by collapse. Most institutions suffer scandal after scandal as hidden frailties and fallibilities of the human beings who run these institutions come to light. Eventually, these institutions collapse, necessitating the creation of new structures for organizing society.

The Mises article is essentially a disclosure of how the rule of law is a myth. The article appeared on May 7. If we progress the eclipse chart to this date we find that the Uranus-Pluto-Jupiter T-square aligns with the meridian and is thereby triggered.
