Oral sex is producing dangerous gonorrhoea and a decline in condom use is helping it to spread, the World Health Organization has said. It warns that if someone contracts gonorrhoea, it is now much harder to treat, and in some cases impossible. The sexually transmitted infection is rapidly developing resistance to antibiotics. The origin of the word venereal meaning "of or
pertaining to sexual desire or intercourse," is from Latin venereus, from Venus (genitive veneris) "sexual
love, sexual desire". The word has been used for sexually transmitted
diseases from 1650s.
The TNP Admetus is associated with something that is
difficult to deal with since it perseveres or is resistant to change so that in
our context it quite appropriately referring to sexual diseases that have
become resistant to antibiotics.
