Archaeologists
have discovered a tower made of nearly 700 human skulls beneath the heart of
Mexico City. The finding unveils new details about the culture of ritual
sacrifice among the Aztecs who lived there centuries ago. July 3 https://sptnkne.ws/eNwb
The news of the archaeological find comes to us just a day
before the Gibbous Moon. A chart for the phase at Mexico City has Pluto opposite Mars aligned with
the horizon.
Pluto reflects the dark, mysterious, and often terrifying
reality which lurks beneath the surface of things, the veneer of civilizations.
Deep within the human psyche, murderous hatred, violent jealousy, compulsive
greed and lust and so forth fester like boiling lava inside a volcano. Often
all it needs is a trigger from a fast moving planet to bring it out. And in
fact the news does come just as a volcano is erupting in Indonesia. But retrograde
Pluto can also often refer to events from
the past [1].
Rising on the Ascendant with Pluto [18cp] are stars of the
Archer. The astrological influences of the constellation given by Manilius:
"As for the
Archer, when the foremost portion of his cloak rises, he will give birth to
hearts renowned in war and will conduct the conqueror, celebrating great
triumphs in the sight of all, to his country's citadels." [Manilius,
Astronomica, 1st century AD, book 4, p.267]
To this Diana Rosenberg adds, “arrogant cruelty, extreme
racism, exploitation and mistreatment of helpless people”.
Mars[19cn] is conjunct Mirza, gamma Canis Major [19cn] in
the Dog’s head and Castor, alpha Geminorum, once again in the Twin’s head. About this Diana Rosenberg
writes: “they will readily put themselves in harm’s way or will try to persuade
others to their will, even to the extreme of murder; they may themselves be
victims of violence, and many here are connected directly or indirectly with
assassinations (as perpetrators, victims or their families). The ancient Liber
Hermetis says “they will be harmed in the head”.”
Finally, we note that the Mars-Pluto opposition also aligns
with the horizon axis of Mexico’s mundane horoscope [2].
