Dog attack kills girl in Durban

"I love you so much. You'll always be my hero." These were the last words Kayla Madden spoke to her sister before she succumbed to injuries from a dog attack inside her Hillcrest home on Saturday (July 29). Gemma, 9, died after being attacked by a pit bull at Kayla's home just hours before she was due to celebrate her 10th birthday. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vzIRsg2WNxg

After thousands of years, a profound change has taken place in our ways of thinking. Our allegiance has shifted from the older symbolist perspective to the modern materialist way of perceiving reality. To unlock the symbolist worldview, we need to enter a completely way of thinking. Esotericists and mystics perceive the world through the ancient law  of Hermes Trismegistus: "That which is Below corresponds to that which is Above, and that which is Above, corresponds to that which is Below, to accomplish the miracles of the One Thing."  In other words, what happens on one level of reality also happens on every other level; the microcosm and macrocosm behave alike. Astrologers take this one step further and relate events on earth to sky patterns.

The tragic event of Saturday, July 29 took place just a day before the First Quarter Moon. A chart for the Moon phase drawn for Durban is shown here. The Sun (conjunct Mars) is just setting on the western horizon and simultaneously square (90 degrees) to Moon on the meridian. Astrologers have long recognized that when planets are found on the angles (horizon or meridian) they are especially significant for the place.

The Sun-Mars conjunction expresses as aggression. Here it is conjunct stars which, among other things, Diana Rosenberg on her book Secrets of the Ancient Skies relates to “animal attacks”. Moreover both the Sun and descendant are parallel in declination to the star beta (β), Mirzam, Canis Major on the front left paw of the Greater Dog!
