A
10-page document penned by an unnamed Google engineer titled "Google's
Ideological Echo Chamber", that criticizes the company's "left
leaning", "anti-conservative" culture and calls for replacing
Google's diversity initiatives with policies that encourage "ideological
diversity" instead, has led to outrage among fellow Google employees and
Silicon Valley pundits. The document, first reported by Motherboard and
published in full by Gizmodo, reportedly has gone "internally viral"
inside the company on Friday according to CNBC. The engineer's identity has not
been revealed, but he reports to Google VP Ari Balogh, listed on Crunchbase as
the company's executive VP of storage infrastructure products. Aug.7 http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-08-06/silicon-valley-outraged-after-google-employee-pens-viral-doc-slamming-anti-conservat
The news comes to us at the August 7, Full Moon eclipse. A
chart for the lunar eclipse drawn for Mountain View, CA, the location of Google’s
headquarters, is shown here. Notice that the eclipse and the nodal axis are
anchored through aspects to the Jupiter-Zeus-Kronos-Pluto T-square, which
itself is significantly placed on the angles.
We will first examine the Leo (North Node)-Aquarius (South
Node) nodal axis. As always, the general rule is that the eclipse requires that
we use the South Node sign which represents the past while seeking to
incorporate the positive qualities of the North Node sign which represents the
future that we must head towards. Though Aquarius is often described as a sign
that embraces alternative philosophies and diverse viewpoints, it does have a
regressive side, too. (Aquarius's traditional ruler is Saturn, after all.) Left
to its own devices, Aquarius can fall prey to believing it knows what's best
for everyone… devising ideologies and organizing-systems that reserve all
players their fair swath of freedom, yet discouraging anyone from shining too
bright an individuating light, lest they diverge too sharply from the aims it
presumes we collectively share. Therefore, a South Node Aquarius can refer to
individuals who did not quite make it in the past, perhaps they were
overpowered by the groups to which they belonged. With the North Node in Leo,
it is time to roar! To be heard! This eclipse is about finishing the business
from long ago. It is time to find a way to make a positive difference in the
lives of those who ignored them in the past.
Next we turn our attention to the Jupiter-Pluto square on the angles. If Pluto
in Capricorn refers to institutions that are decaying or perhaps
compromised, the square from Jupiter in Libra seeks to interrupt the strategies
and stances which those institutions have long relied on to provide them
structure and stability. It welcomes us to openly engage in dialogue about
what's broken, with the various stakeholders whose needs currently aren't being
effectively met and/or who might have some novel suggestions for how to improve
or refine the governing master-plan so it better addresses the divergent
concerns of a wider audience.
Perhaps, the Sabian symbol[1] for Jupiter and TNP Zeus on
the Ascendant says it all.
Phase 198: Two men under arrest
When individuals try
to reform an established order they may be punished by that order. For individuals the challenge is how to make
their transforming vision acceptable to society. The fact that two men are
under arrest suggests a polarization and a purpose transcending a mere fit of
recklessness. Negative as the image may seem, one may see implied in it the
power in every individual to assume social risks in order to express his
convictions even if he has to face the consequences. (edited from Dane Rudhyar)
