A
television interview of a top Qatari official confessing the truth behind the
origins of the war in Syria is going viral across Arabic social media during
the same week a leaked top secret NSA document was published which confirms
that the armed opposition in Syria was under the direct command of foreign
governments from the early years of the conflict. And
according to a well-known Syria analyst and economic adviser with close
contacts in the Syrian government, the explosive interview constitutes a high
level "public admission to collusion and coordination between four
countries to destabilize an independent state, [including] possible support for

To understand the news, in this post we will use a slightly
extended concept of synastry in astrology. But first what is synastry?
Synastry is a method of comparing
two or more horoscopes This makes it possible to find the interaspects, i.e.
the aspects between the planets and axes of one horoscope to another one. The
method also shows where the planets in one horoscope fall in the other one and
vice versa. Synastry can be used to compare many kinds of relationships, such
as those between individuals, business or romantic partners, work colleagues,
parent and child and even between two nations.
Extending the concept of synastry to include progressions,
we can also compare the major progressions of one individual as they aspect the
radix planets in the chart of the other.
For the mundane national chart of Qatar (1 Sept. 1971; 0:00
hrs, Doha), the current position of the progressed Sun is [23 libra].
Superimposing this position on the mundane national chart of Saudi Arabia [2],
we find that it occupies the very sensitive “reaction point” of Saudi Arabia’s
Saturn-Uranus-Pluto T-square. In other words, it completes a Grand Cross by
filling the missing point in Saudi
Arabia’s T-square. This is a very major activation of the Saudi chart. And let
us not forget that the Saudi chart is going
through a momentous URANUS RETURN which on its own is activating the T.
Moreover, more recently, the October 19, 2017 New Moon [26 Li] has further triggered
the complex. So what can we expect?
With Uranus acting on Pluto we can expect a sudden
revelation (Uranus) of things that were hidden (Pluto). More specifically, in
the Saudi chart, the square is from Uranus
in Aries to Pluto in Cancer. Cancer
is the sign we associate with families or groups (much like the Gulf
Cooperation Council here of which Saudi Arabia and Qatar are members and
incidentally also related through blood ties). On the other hand, Aries rules
the individual so that the tension of the square comes from the self-will or desires of an individual
member conflicting with the conditioned and structured family expectations. In
general, the revolutionary uprising and spontaneous force of Uranus synthesizes
with Pluto's intensified dismantling and opening force in the very depths of
consciousness produces an intense rebellion that motivates a profound and
radical transformation in collective consciousness. (Notice the other
incidental changes taking place in Saudi
Arabia…women being allowed to drive etc.) In other words, the Uranus-Pluto
square in the Saudi chart is motivating a radical and mind-expanding change in
the very foundation of the Saudi consciousness breaking it away from very deep-seated and long-standing
genetic, cultural and social behavioral patterns. With its progressed Sun
activating the Saudi chart, Qatar is simply acting as an external catalyst to
bring about a long required openness.
