Secret Superstar releases at Uranus New Moon

King Cepheus

Princess Andromeda

Secret Superstar is a 2017 Indian musical drama film, written and directed by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. The film features Zaira Wasim, Meher Vij, Raj Arjun and Aamir Khan in lead roles, and tells the story of a child who aspires to be a singer. The story of Secret Superstar is set in the town of Vadodara (Baroda) in Gujarat, India. The people living there are the core part of this living-the-dream story of a high school girl Insia (Zaira Wasim). Insia lives with her mother Najma (Meher Vij), younger brother Guddu, and an overbearing father. Her father is completely against her dream of one day becoming a singer. The story is centred around how the young Insia manages to sneak off to Mumbai to fulfil her dreams and meets a once successful singer Shakti Kumar (Aamir Khan) while she tries to rescue her mother and brother from the violence at home.

Secret Superstar was originally set to release on 4 August 2017, but it was later postponed to 19 October 2017. Is it a coincidence that the film was released just a day before ,as we shall see in this post, a very meaningful New Moon aligned with the meridian at Bombay, where the film was made?

The New Moon of October 20 was placed opposite Uranus and aligned with the meridian at Bombay (and Vadodara where it was shot).  The planet of rebellion and freedom, Uranus (27ar) is conjunct stars of King Cepheus and his daughter Andromeda who is depicted in chains.  In her book, Secrets of the Ancient Skies, for the stars in this area Diana Rosenberg writes:

The King knuckles under no one.  There is fanaticism, obstinacy, an intemperate nature and a dogmatic intolerance of others’ opinion.  There are concerns here of tolerance vs intolerance, possible father-daughter issues; domination and repression vs freedom, including feminist issues.

This was the Sun of US President Thomas Jefferson who embodied one of the major conflicts here, for he wrote the Declaration of Independence and the Preamble of the US Constitution, yet remained a slave owner and kept a slave mistress (Cepheus, the King and Andromeda, the Chained Woman!). Mars was here for pioneer 18th century feminist Mary Wollstonecraft, author of  “The Vindication of the Rights of Woman” (Andromeda!)
