this morning courtesy of a couple of artistic Navy pilots stationed in nearby
Whidbey Island. Not surprisingly, the
giant sky penis, which was described as the "most monumental thing to
happen in Omak" by one Twitter user, sparked a wave of hilarious social

To understand this news, we need to go back to September 28, when Jupiter opposed Uranus for the last
time. A chart for the exact opposition
at Omak, Washington is shown here. The Jupiter-Uranus opposition along with a
complex configuration is anchored to the Ascendant through hard aspects making
it particularly significant for the place.
Astrologers associate the opposition both with creative
brilliance as well as a need for
personal freedom and excitement. However, the danger is that an unorthodox
style and rebellious streak can cause problems with the establishment.
Jupiter, the King of the Gods, and the ruler of Sagittarius,
is often associated with a sense of humor [1]. Here the jovial and expansive nature of Jupiter combines with the shocking
nature of Uranus, and the antagonistic nature of the opposition to create a
humorous situation that shocks people.
Since Jupiter aspects
a Venus-Mars combination the jokes tend
to be sexual in nature. The astrological symbol for Mars is a “penis” and when
combined with Jupiter which rules all things over-sized, you get a large penis.
Next we look at the Kite formation involving the Grand Trine
of Neptune-Kronos-Hades-Poseidon with the Neptune end opposite Venus-Mars.
Among other things, the TNP Kronos rules altitude, things
that are high, flights and aircrafts while a keyword for Hades is disgusting, dirty
or vulgar [2]. The TNP Poseidon rules morals
and ethics. When we combine the various elements here we can easily see how an
aircraft was involved in a dirty joke!
If we now progress the chart to November 17, the date of the
news, we find that the progressed Ascendant forms a T-square with the
Jupiter-Uranus opposition triggering the complex configuration into
manifestation.
