Has Europe Rebelled?

Washington’s current foreign-policy practice is a bit reminiscent of the golden era of the Ottoman Sublime Porte, in the sense that any visit by a leader of a vassal state is seen as nothing more than an opportunity for a public demonstration of his willingness to serve the great sultan or, in the modern context, to do the bidding of the master of the White House. The visitor must also wear a big grin and speak passionately about how happy he is to have been given the opportunity to kiss the Sultan’s slippers. Or, to put it in the language of today, to be impressed with the leadership of the US and personally inspired by the energy of the American president. The Washington establishment can’t wrap its head around any other configuration.  https://www.globalresearch.ca/has-europe-rebelled/5639855

The European Union is moving to protect the interests of its companies that do business in Iran, following the United States decision to withdraw from the 2015 nuclear deal. But let us begin by looking at the chart of the EU.

The most important transit for the current period is Uranus about to enter Tauras and conjoin the EU’s MC.  In mundane astrology, the 10th house rules authority figures  of a nation. When Uranus enters the 10th, the authority figures can begin to rebel against any perceived pressures to conform.

In addition, Pluto is currently transiting over the Uranus-Neptune conjunction in 6th house.

Uranus-Neptune: unexpected events in friendship or sudden contact with confusion or uncertainty; to seek freedom from dependency or closeness; one may feel that a change is necessary but may have been too weak to pursue it.

Among other things, the 6th house is referred to as the house of servants which can be extended to the house of servility. When Pluto transits over planets in the 6th house, it can bring circumstances where we begin to recognize that if we remain servile our integrity is at stake. It can force us to take a stand against those who have been taking us for granted.

The second important transit is Jupiter squaring the Ascendant-Descendant axis.  This is the axis of self in partnership. When Jupiter squares this axis, either the person or the partner can begin to behave arrogantly…sometimes trying to take advantage of the relationship without giving anything in return (Robert Hand).

On May 9, the Sun opposed retrograde Jupiter, thus beginning a new Earth-Jupiter synodic cycle. The  stars that form the backdrop to Earth-Jupiter govern the theme of the entire one year cycle. Here Earth-Jupiter are conjunct the star beta (β) Libra, Zubeneschemali -  a pale emerald star marking the Northern Scale of Libra. In his essay “Cracking  our Shells,” Nick Fiorenza explains the nature of this area of stars:

The two "Chelae of the Scorpion," Zuben-el-genubi and Zuben-es-chamalli lie at 21° and 24° sidereal Libra respectively. These two principal stars are now severed into the constellation Libra (the balance or scales) thus hiding the esoteric significance of this part of the zodiak from the modern day astrologer. Earlier Libra is actually the continuance of the constellation of Virgo which I dub "under the skirt of the Virgin"--the legs of the Virgin to articulate the occulted wisdom in this part of the heavens. The mythical image (picture language) is of the Virgin giving birth (of the soul) into the Chelae (clutches) of the Scorpion--into reincarnational entrapment. Surrounding constellations reveal the path of self mastery to claim our spiritual freedom. Zubenelgenubi, the karmic seat for incarnating souls, lies upon the ecliptic. This location in the ecliptic is also the exalted seat of Saturn--lord of karmic retribution, keeper of time. Zubenelgenubi reveals past patterns that keep us entrapped in the reincarnational clutches--from attaining our highest destiny and evolutionary freedom. Karma does not mean something bad, it simply means our past experiential path, one that must be reconciled by moving forth from our past into our dharma. Zubeneschamali, the dharmic seat, lies slightly north of the ecliptic. Zubeneschamali embodies our responsibility to complete our chosen paths of incarnational involvement so we may claim our evolutionary freedom and spiritual awakening. This freedom is embodied by the Northern Crown, which lies above the clutches of the Scorpion. https://www.lunarplanner.com/LunarMonths2003/lunarmonth.03.05.01.html
