US-EU relationship decline through the lens of the US Sibly

President Donald Trump’s hard exit from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal was followed by a hard message for Europe: The United States will use sanctions to coerce its allies to shut their economic doors to Iran. Trump not only chose to violate a multilateral agreement, but his administration now aims to implode it by obstructing European business ties with Iran. In addition, the United States has also vowed to impose harmful trade tariffs on European allies. Trump is in effect threatening a trade war with Europe through tariffs and the weaponization of U.S. sanctions. http://foreignpolicy.com/2018/05/16/how-europe-can-block-trump/

In this post we shall see  that the US-EU spat can be clearly seen in the US Sibly. Shown above is the T-square  in the Sibly that is relevant to our discussion. With Uranus currently transiting [27ar – 1ta], it completes a Grand Cross.  (Note that the TNP Hades in the 11th is referring to US allies e.g. Europe).

The delineation below is provided by Martha Wescott. Readers will notice how accurately it describes the current scenario in the US-EU relationship.

Pluto-Uranus: aware of power struggles (Pluto) between friends (Uranus); change or unexpected reactions (Uranus)  based on resentments, ultimatums or threats to control (Pluto); to see disruptive behavior based on emergent (formerly repressed) psychological content.

Cupido-Pluto-Uranus: the sense of family and relationship (Cupido) goes through a sudden radical change.

Hades-Pluto: changes (Pluto) that are not for the better but that bring about a decline (Hades); to recognize that ugliness (Hades) is rooted in resentment or a desire for revenge or power (Pluto); problems and decline (Hades) through debt, reliance on credit, and loss of integrity (Pluto).

Hades-Uranus: to see a sudden or unexpected (Uranus) “turn for the worse” (Hades); to learn that “the wages of freedom are poverty” – that one may have to choose between independence (Uranus) or hardship (Hades). (Note that this applies to the European allies.)

Finally to complete the picture we note that the EU (Nov. 1, 1993; 0:00 CET; Brussels) solar arc progressed Ascendant [12vi] forms a sesquisquare aspect to the Sibly Pluto [27cp] providing  further evidence of the trigger to the Sibly T-square.
