Hades-Saturn and the feeling of isolation

The US is now experiencing an "epidemic" of loneliness, according to a study released by Cigna last month. Perhaps not surprising given that their cohort is the first to grow up with smartphones in hand, those in Generation Z are the worst off.

Humans are biologically wired for social connection. Until just recently, historically-speaking, humans typically existed in small tribal groups of 30-60 people, where the degree of unity and cohesiveness of the group directly determined its odds of survival. Facing constant adversity from the weather, predators, other tribes, etc -- every member of the group had a role and a duty to perform. We've delved into this topic deeply in the past, particularly in our podcast with Peabody Award-winning author Sebastian Junger. In his book Tribe, Junger observes how far modern life is from the conditions our distant ancestors evolved from. We are so dis-connected from each other now that the lack of community is manifesting in alarming ways in today's society. The author of the article , Adam Taggart , the President & Co-founder of Peak Prosperity resides in Sebastopol, CA. Shown here is the chart for the  current Moon phase – the Last Quarter moon at Sebastopol. In mundane astrology, we pay special attention to any planetary configuration that aspects the angles. Here we have the Saturn-TNP Hades opposition (the defining aspect for 2018.. takes place thrice between Feb and Dec. 2018) making a hard aspect to the meridian implying that its energy would be significant for the place. However, it is generally creative and sensitive people like Adam Taggart who can feel the energy and give it a voice.

So let us start with the definition of Hades and Saturn and delineate the combination:

HADES: Disgust/distaste; debilitation or deterioration; interest in the past (inc. past lives)—thus history and primitive origins; handling highly detailed work, chores or drudgery; “messy” situations; depressing emotions; research; investigation into the root cause of problems; bowels; vermin or toxins. https://marthalangwescott.com/basic-resources/
SATURN: Hardships, loneliness or alienation.

Saturn-Hades: to hear of depressions on account of loneliness or alienation.

On the MC [22ta] in aspect to Saturn and Hades  are the stars Botein, Rana and Zaurak. About these stars, Nick Fiorenza writes :

Botein, although meaning the belly (of the Ram) actually marks the hind foot. Botein can indicate those either lost and stranded, or simply left behind (the lost or following sheep…Rana of Eridanus, conjoining Botein, marks another stopping point along the river of life and articulates the theme of those lost or tired through their initiations stopping either in need of aid or for regeneration in preparation for what is yet to come. Nearby Zaurak of Eridanus, just prior to the Taurian cusp, in late sidereal Aries, is a point of pause along the initiatory river of life where we must hold and trust our own inner light because the path immediately ahead is not entirely visible.

So once again, these stars reinforce the central theme of the article - people feeling lost and depressed.

Finally, let us note that the TNP Hades is conjunct the star Tejat of the Twins. As the image above shows  this constellation is  about the interconnection of human beings. The TNP Hades here is referring to loneliness and alienation due a decline in the sense of community or inter-relatedness.
